If I wanna upload some modding tools how do I proceed? Add them to a mod, post them as individual files or do I have to create a dev group and submit them into the Engines section? While this is the best mods database out there, I must admit submitting stuff is bureaucratic and confusing. |

You are supposed to upload modding tools to game profiles, not mod or engine pages... not sure why people overlook adding utilities/addons/stuff to original game profiles. You don't have to create a whole mod profile for every single addon/tool. |

That's because it's very confusing, when clicking on a file associated with a game you see the game developer as the developer of the file, while the author only appears as an 'uploader', it doesn't display the creator's profile like on the mods page, so it feels like one is losing copyright or impersonating the game company for the file they upload. |

Connected engines are also visible there and somehow they don't confuse anyone about the ownership of a game profile page in question? ModDB is a bit more interconnected than other sites, engine and company profiles are simply displayed this way, there is nothing right or wrong here... |
