XEd version 0.0.17.9
The XEd level editor is an editing tool used to create singleplayer missions and multiplayer maps for Ground Control(R) II: Operation Exodus.
The editor is provided for free and is not officially supported by Massive Entertainment, Sierra Entertainment or Vivendi Universal Games. Please see DISCLAIMER AND USER AGREEMENT below for further information.

KNOWN ISSUES

* Xed WILL CRASH when the screensaver starts.
* Time shown in open/save dialog is not correct.
* Undo has not been implemented on all commands and tools.
* Script templates can be buggy.
* Chokepoint tool is buggy and editing chokepoints can cause strange behaviour.
* Not all functions implemented in the 2D map.
* Help file not included.
* Fog border not included in weather preview.
* Not all functions are implemented as commands.
* Some renderer options are not working.
* Gesture functionality not optimized.
* Instancetree update is buggy.
* Moving large amounts of instances and then undoing the move can sometimes result in unpredictable behaviour.

DISCLAIMER AND USER AGREEMENT - LEVEL EDITOR

YOU SHOULD CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE INSTALLING THE PROGRAM.
You are about to install the level editor XED (the “Level Editor”), which is provided to you for free by Massive Entertainment AB (“Massive”) pursuant to the term so this User Agreement (“Agreement”). This Level Editor is not subject to Ground Control II End User License Agreement. Additionally, the Level Editor, including: (i) files that are provided to you by on-line transmission or otherwise to 'patch,' 'update,' or modify the software program, (ii) any printed materials, (iii) any on-line or electronic documentation, and (v) any and all copies and derivative works of such software program and materials are the copyrighted work of Massive Entertainment AB its subsidiaries, suppliers, and licensors.
By installing the Level Editor you hereby acknowledge and accept the following terms :
1. Grant of License: Massive hereby grants, and by installing the Program you thereby accept, a limited, non-exclusive license and right to install and use one (1) copy of the Level Editor for your personal use on either a home or portable computer. The Level Editor is licensed not sold. Your license confers no title or ownership in the Level Editor. You may not network the Level Editor or otherwise install it or use it on more than one computer at a time. The Level Editor that allows you to create custom levels or other materials for your personal use in connection with the Program (“New Materials”). All use of the Editor or any New Materials is subject to this Agreement.
2. Acknowledgments. You hereby acknowledge: (i) that the Level Editor is a work in process and may contain bugs which may cause loss of data or potentially require you to reinstall your operating system; (ii) that you have backed-up your hard-drive prior to installation of the Level Editor; and (iii) that you have the resources necessary to reinstall your operating system and restore any and all lost data.
3. Responsibilities of End User. Subject to this Agreement, you may not, in whole or in part, copy, photocopy, reproduce, translate, reverse engineer, derive source code, modify, disassemble, decompile, create derivative works based on the Program, or remove any proprietary notices or labels on the Level Editor without the prior consent, in writing, of Massive. The Level Editor is licensed to you as a single product. Its component parts may not be separated for use on more than one computer. You are entitled to use the Level Editor for your own use, but you are not entitled to:
(i) sell, grant a security interest in or transfer reproductions of the Level Editor to other parties in any way, nor to rent, lease or license the Level Editor to others without the Massive’s prior written consent;
(ii) publish and/or distribute the computer images, sound, files, fonts, graphics, clipart, animations, photographs, databases or other content of the Level Editor, with the exception that you may make New Materials that you create using the Level Editor available to other individuals to use with the Ground Control II product as long as such distribution is not related to any “consideration,” payment or other form of remuneration;
(iii) exploit the Level Editor or any of its parts, as well as any New Materials, computer images, sound files, fonts, graphics, clipart, animations, photographs, databases or other content in the Level Editor, for any commercial purpose including, but not limited to, use at a cyber café, computer gaming centre or any other location-based site;
4. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES. THE LEVEL EDITOR AND ACCOMPANYING DOCUMENTATION IS BEING PROVIDED TO YOU "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. MASSIVE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE LEVEL EDITOR WILL BE ERROR FREE. MASSIVE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE ENTIRE RISK ARISING OUT OF USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE LEVEL EDITOR REMAINS WITH YOU.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. MASSIVE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND INCLUDING BY NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF GOODWILL, WORK STOPPAGE, COMPUTER FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION, OR ANY AND ALL OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES.
SOME COUNTRIES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU
6. DISCLAIMER OF CUSTOMER SERVICE / TECHNICAL SUPPORT. MASSIVE DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE NOR TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR THE LEVEL EDITOR.
7. Equitable Remedies. You hereby agree that the Massive would be irreparably damaged if the terms of this Agreement were not specifically enforced, and therefore you agree that the Massive shall be entitled, without bond, other security, or proof of damages, to appropriate equitable remedies with respect to breaches of this Agreement, in addition to such other remedies as the Massive may otherwise have available to it under applicable laws.
8. Miscellaneous. The Agreement shall be deemed to have been made and executed in England, and any dispute arising hereunder shall be resolved in accordance with the English law. This Agreement may be amended, altered, or modified only by an instrument in writing, specifying such amendment, alteration, or modification, executed by both parties. In the event that any provision of this Agreement shall be held by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable, such provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining portions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
