Here is a simple way to play even the vanilla version of BC in Widescreen!
The files included are setup for 1080p, but you can change them to your resolution. Only a warning, the game doesn't support more than 2048x1440. Just follow the instruction in the read me file and you should be fine.
For questions you can join the BC-Central Community under www.bc-central.net or Discord.gg

I tried to fix a problem but it didn't work. I have a 4k Monitor now.
It starts with full hd but it's only part of the frame and doesnt react to mouse after start.
Is there a change I can get a fix for 2160p?
No, as far as I know it's not possible to increase the resolution beyond 2048x1440. But you can your luck in the bc-central forum. There are all the remaining experts of this game.
It is possible,
you must edit 3 files. I played it on 3840 x 1080.
4k should be possible too. You need to edit files.

It is hardcoded into the .exe
