Description

In this version of WarZone, I am introducing the revamp TS campaign, weather effects, bug fixes, and balance changes. Bonus features new maps, effects, decor, and much more.

A truly great work, improvement over vanilla game is very stunning.

Due to improvements in units and structure visuals. It also works against the game. Too much details leads having no idea what you're looking at when playing on widescreen resolution. NOD infantry now look closer to ingame cinematic, but due their dark skin on higher game resolution they look like ants. Sandbags now do look more closer to real life but on desert maps, you can't tell what's what until you take a closer look at it and see what it is.

What I want to say, you've done amazing work on overall game improvement, please now try improving units visibility on higher game resolutions.

If I play this mod on 800x600, the units and game details look freaking amazing. Even on this resolution, it's hard to tell if infantry is your or some other's team colors.

Older games are often played better in lower resolutions. Maybe find the middle road, like 720p, it should look fine in that resolution.

Played a dozen or so rounds checking out the new stuff, very pretty weather effects. Though I noticed that any type of rain effect doesn't seem to hit the bottom 20% of the map height. Is that caused by a certain draw driver or is that intentional?

The weather effect is designed for maps that are 100x100 max, this is for performance and stability. So maps that are 120x150 or otherwise might hame missing coverage, it's not an exact science, the price of being dynamic.

Started up a skirmish game to test things out, however, I've noticed there's some film-grain effect that is active. I wonder how do I disable this? Can't find anything related in the main menu options nor the skirmish options.

I'm not talking about the weather effects. At first I thought I've accidentally activated an effect but that is not the case. There's a tiny flicker all across the screen in-game. As long as that effect is active, I cannot play the game as my eyes are too sensitive.

Can confirm the grain effect is present in campaign missions as well.
This grain effect is not present in the previous released version of this mod.
All in all, keep up the good work!

There's a delay in the mouse when playing. Almost as if it is trying to catch up across the screen - any ideas on how to fix this?

Just saw this mod recently and tried it out. The graphics are amazing. The INI files are also easy to go through to customize how I would want the game to go as well, so thank you for that. I do have a problem with trying to get the map editor working from both in the client and from the folder. Same error occurs where Tiberian Sun is not installed correctly, specifically something about the TIBSUN.MIX that I wont let the editor run. Using Windows 10. Other than that, keep up the good work man.

FinalSun.ini ---> delete the 2 lines

Exe=(whatever is here)

Then Save and run Finalsun.exe, select game.exe from the map-editor folder.

It worked, thanks. On another note, is it possible to reassign ingame models to to other units? I'm interested in swapping the Amphibious APC's model and the Mutant APC's model together, though I don't have any knowledge on how to do so. All just for personal preference.

I was having the same problem. After some diagnosis, it turned out that the file is compressed using a new, paid version of WinRAR (likely 5.8+). It can be unpacked using the newest evaluation version downloadable from WinRAR's official website.

That said, I do urge the author to use common versions of WinRAR (e.g. 3.9) to compress the game files. The new versions of WinRAR provide no useful functions other than coercing the users to pay for new "features."

Hello hello awsome mod ;D but there is a major bug -- in the Last NOD mission -- a new beginning --- jake dsnt turn off firestorm -- basically the mission cnt start ;( also will the expansion pack firestorm become playable later on -- bec it was super kwl made tiberium sun so nice bec of cabal missions

Put it on fast speed..... use ion cannon to kill the rifle infintry at the very beginning and wait..... Reinforcments do show up.... after a while

Bug for Hammerfest Base for GDI. The Hover MLRS blow up the bridge too early as all the trucks are out of harm's way. Game will not relinquish control until the sequence is "finished".

Great mod as always, though. (:

anyway to fix the last NOD mission -- to start ? looks like the script is broken - jake mcneil dsnt do anything - the buggy just shoots at firestorm platform

Loving this mod so far, although some Nod missions are really annoying such as Mission 9b-Establish Nod Presence...the Mutant forces that ambush you in the city, absolutely shredded my units (leaving me with just the Harvester and Weed eaters) and the 2 (literally just 2 mutant infantry left over) that survived demolished the Nod base before I (just about) killed them with Shredder Turrets before the ConYard got destroyed.

The lighting effects on Mission 10- Destroy MKII Prototype, really made it difficult too, started off practically pitch black (barely could see) then it lit up really bright again making it difficult to see. However, the latest update made the lighting much more manageable.

Anyway, as a few others have pointed out, the latest update seems to be causing problems with the mission start briefing and the in-game menu (Esc). The mouse cursor disappears making it pretty much impossible to Save, Load or Quit/Restart without Alt+F4.

Change the renderer to TS-DDraw OGL and back to CnC-draw or what you are using and it will work just fine.

That worked a treat thanks, can bring up the Esc menu with no issue now.

I also only just realised you had an addon to put the FMV's back in...I enjoy watching them.
