Uplink OS v092 BETA for STEAM
A ton of bug fixes!
Bug fixes include crashes when using the speed buttons, crashes when loading unsaved connections, crashes when getting caught! Also, a lot of scaling issues have been taken into account (You guys are great with finding these!) and there shouldn't be many left!
Do take in mind, that some changes need a new user created, unfortunately.
*Please be aware that the previous save file version may be incompatible, so back it up first.
Installation
Inside the archive you'll find the UplinkOS executable, its resource files and the ReadMe.
In case you're like me and you don't read ReadMes, here's the installation instructions:
- Of course, you'll need the STEAM version of the game.
- After downloading the Mod, unzip it into a place of your choice.
- Go to Uplink's installation folder. In STEAM's case, the default is: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Uplink
- Copy the contents of the Mod's zip file into this folder.
- Go to the "users" folder. Back-up & move/delete all the files here.
- Back-up the original Uplink.exe.
- Rename UplinkOS.exe to Uplink.exe.
- Now just run Uplink from the STEAM interface and your ready to start hacking!
This is a BETA so you will encounter some bugs that I missed (especially in the later parts of the game where I didn't test as often as I should have). In case you encounter something please make a screenshot and post about it in the BUGS forum.

- Added Pop-Ups when Enabling/Disabling Locks or Isolation Bridges on LAN Systems
- Added locked/unlocked states to the Lock systems on LANs
- Fixed a bug where you could reset a connection while connected
- Fixed the Decypher taking ages to complete
- Fixed the crash when Loading a connection if you had none saved
- Revelation infected systems are now visible on the Map
- Turned the volume a tad higher on some NPC voices
- Fixed text truncation on multiple resolutions
- Added buttons to the Analyser window to start the needed apps easier
- Fixed the TextField caret scaling
- Added an option to disable/enable the software mouse
- Changed the Connection Randomizer to let the player choose multiple end servers
- Added a "Create New" option to the Notes Menu
- Removed the Favourite/Show on Map options from the Links menu when not on the Player bookmarks screen
- Added a visual cue to the Apps version button in the Apps upgrades screen
- Added a Favourite filter on the Player's bookmarks screen
- Removed the awful LAN tools sounds
- Modified the App Menu to open and close only from the TaskBar button
- Added a back button to the InterNIC Browse page and the company Links screen
- Fixed a bug where the hotkeys would not work if you had CapsLock or ScrollLock on
- Fixed the Voice_Analyzer taking ages to complete
- Fixed a bug where the News and BBS screens would not update correctly while viewing them
- Fixed a minor text spill on Company Info screen
- Fixed a bug where if you'd log out while having apps open would leave some "App v1.0" items in the Task Manager when logging back in
- Added Notes & Hotkeys autosaving with the userfile
- Fixed a bug where the options would not save correctly
- Added an Options menu in-game
- Sorted the e-mails new to last
- Added a few more E-Mail features based on user feedback
- Fixed a bug where the Remove Bookmark option would not do anything
- Added the version number on the Main Menu screen
- Fixed a bug where the elements would not sort correctly after removing Logs/Missions/Files/anything; this also fixes a bunch of bugs where buttons would become unresponsive!
- Fixed a minor text spill with the file encryption level in the Files Manager window
- Bank transfers now work
- You can now create Bank / Stock accounts
- Files Manager and E-Mails windows can now be closed from their respective TaskBar buttons
- Added a pop-up when deleting all notes
- After sending an e-mail the window now returns to the last tab opened
- Fixed tooltip scaling
- Fixed a bug where the Welcome screen would not get removed after logging out and back in
- Fixed a bug where there would be an Undefined username on the MM
- Removed NPC names that used accents, rendering them unsearchable
- Fixed a crash when using the speed buttons - it was because you were cought! And the disavow screen didn't work.
- Fixed the Disavow/Game Over/TEAM screens

Still having problems with creating a new Bank account. This time the error is "Username already in use, please use a different one".
I already tried with different name, even numbers,etc.

Any chance we can have an alternative look to the hacking programs? I liked in the original how it's more visual, for example the curve cracker shows all the matrix getting solved instead of just a circle around the cracking logo.
good job on the mod so far Cpt.McBacon :)
But I encountered the same bug as Seigaku and the game crashes quite often with the mod for me (sometimes when i click on the mission list, sometimes when i want to fast forward, sometimes when writing a note).
In a mission where you have to change someones academic profile there was a long name abdel-rha whatever...when i started the search the game also crashed always (tried like 10 times)
Additionally in the missions where you transfer money from an account to another one ("our collegue wishes to make a donation" or so) i can't transfer the money.
If i fill the fields for bank IP, accno and amount it tells me that i have to fill all fields (so i also retype the already given accno of the account i hacked into) and end up with an error that tells me that the transfer was not completed successfuly and i have to contact the bank admin (which doesnt do em any good, because in the admin account you can view the logs and accounts etc., but you can't interact with them).

Looking at the changelog makes me so happy, you address every single bug I encountered in 091. I will wait for 093 for the fixed account bugs, but thanks for making such a great mod!
great work so far, only problems I have is that you cannot quickly bookmark a bunch of IPs and some of the squares on the 'map' aren't clickable, but the other shortcuts for deleting things are really sweet!

Hello, I was doing the mission where you have to steal large file data into another server. I mistakenly copy the same file twice. Then I couldn't delete it nor decrypt it. I logged out of the game and now when I try to log in, I receive an error and cat play anymore with that user.

Found some bugs... when you transfer money in the bank, 1st, you have to write the "account no. from", is obligatory. 2nd, the field "account to" and the field amount, are inverted. (i mean, "account to" is in fact "amount")
