lel this is a really simple mod for the Northern Dunedain faction in DaC v3. The faction is renamed to 'The Dunedain Fellowship', and given the main 'good' generals (entire felloship included) from The Lord of the Rings films, at the start of campaign (with the exception of Gandalf who comes at turn 20/21) with their own custom battle models and unique bodyguard units. The released Reunited Kingdom mod is included because it works well with role-playing the movies during the campaign, and I didn't want to miss any files from the mod. Your generals hitpoints are beefed up to 10, but your unit count is as low as possible. All units worthy of an upgrade to their stats have had their damage, armour and hitpoints increased, each varying based on a 3 tier system that I unintentionally created while changing stats. This tends to suit their movie counterparts in battle. I created this mod for myself but thought someone else may have some fun with it too. Enjoy!
This has no scripts besides whatever comes in the Reunited Kingdom mod (FULL CREDITS TO THE CREATOR, I HAVE NEVER UPLOADED ANYTHING SO PLEASE DON'T THINK IM STEALING CREDIT FOR THAT MOD, I LOVE THE REUNITED KINGDOM YAY)
All of the files of the reunited kingdom submod for DaC v3 are included.
CAMPAIGN INFORMATION: IMPORTANT I GUESS SO PLEASE READ
This is basically a role-playing modification. If you can't come to the realisation that, for example, you will have to either console command or walk Eomer and Theoden near Edoras/Hornburg, and either take them if they are isengard settlements, or killed the false prophet theoden (who has the old corrupted theoden portrait, so you can essentially fight him with your true theoden and pretend its a battle inside his mind.
I don't know.
THAT IS COMPLETELY UP TO YOU.
Obviously, you should play as the Northern Dunedain to experience this mod and play as the fellowship, but you can also play as another faction i guess and destroy the fellowship if you want lol
I have not tried that. Frodo should still be the ring target, where ever he goes around turn 25-27.
If he isn't i apologise teehee
The unit stats are all changed either way, and the fellowship generals will be a pain if they end up getting armies. A BIG PAIN.
YOU ARE GIVEN A LOT OF MONEY TO START, BUT SO DOES EVERY OTHER FACTION. EVIL FACTIONS WILL SPAWN HUGE ARMIES AND MARCH AT YOUR CITIES QUITE QUICKLY.
The Balrog is the faction leader of Moria, and surprisingly he has his own campaign map model lol so you will occasionally have a balrog on your campaign map waltzing around.
Harad Generals now all have Mumakil.
THIS CAMPAIGN, I PRESUME, IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. Getting Frodo, Sam and 30 odd hobbit archers to stay around mount door for 3 or so turns is damn near impossible without wiping out a lot of mordor cities already. Reuniting the Kingdoms is really fun, more money, units, settlements etc. It should probably be done to win and march on mordor to save the ringbearer with full military force.
Last campaign I tested, Rohan, Khazad, Erebor, Woodland Elves, Anduin and Imladris were all destroyed by the evil factions by the time i got Aragorn to Minas Tirith and fulfilled the requirements to reunite the kingdom. Gondor had 2/3 of their settlements captured by mordor/isengard, Dol Amroth and Lorien were left with one settlement.
If the campaign is easy, then you're easy and you should see a sex counselor, SL00T.
INFORMATION ABOUT GENERALS
Hobbits - Frodo, Merry, Pippin and Sam are standing around Hobbiton. In battle, the Hobbit generals are accompanied with 5-15 Bandobras Archers, depending on which unit size you play. Frodo has Frodo's model, Sam has Sam's Model. But, merry and Pippin did not have unique battle map models in the files, so I gave pippin Frodo's and merry has Sam's.
- Gandalf comes earlier than he would previously, at around turn 20/21, which works quite well as around 5-7 turns later, the Ring script starts and it is automatically found on Frodo.
- Glorfindel so you can recreate the Frodo scene riding to Imladris, obviously because his portrait and models were already included in the game files, and i couldn't be bothered trying to make an Arwen.)
- Aragorn spawns in Fennas Druid Level 70 full epic gear or w/e it's called lol the capital.
- Faramir spawns where Hirvegil used to spawn on the start up of campaign.
- All of the other generals (Legolas, Gimli, Haldir, Theoden, Eomer and Boromir) spawn above the capital, literally. You cannot just click on them unfortunately. When i tried to place them in another location it didn't let me start a campaign LOL) So you must go to your LIST OF GENERALS tab when you click on the FACTION OVERVIEW. You will see all of them listed there, click on them ONE BY ONE and then you can safely move them out of that position and continue as if my lack of modz talent was not on full display lel
OTHER RANDOM POOP I CHANGED
Halbarad has been removed and Denethor replaces him in the family tree, but he is listed as dead LOL you never liked him anyway. Boromir and Faramir are listed as his children, so essentially they are now your two distant family members of Aragorn. It's fun to wait for Eldarion to come of age and then kill him off first turn, and having the RIGHTFUL HEIR TO THE THRONE OF GONDOR, BOROMIR, SON OF DENETHOR as your heir lol dont@me
FUTURE POOP I WILL CHANGE
I can upload an alternative campaign strat file that i have already made, that also includes some the War of the Last Alliance generals, all with unique bodyguard and battle models:
Elrond, Gil-Galad, Cirdan, Elendil, Anarion, Isildur and Durin. So let me know if you are interested.
All Credits go to the creators of MTW2, TATW, Reunited Kingdom and of course DaC
(Arachir Galudirithon has a great youtube channel, go check it out)
PLEASE ENJOY THE MOD! I KNOW I DO :)
