This hasn't been well tested, but I wanted to get this out before too long. Tested on BlackBox RadicalElements RC 0128. Rebalance of warp speeds, added turrets, leveled techs, and improved hull bonus system. Leveled techs are techs that can be researched multiple times, and each time it will show it's level as part of the name. Contains unfinished work for minor races, so you can find Ferenginar, but there is nothing you can really do with the Ferengi as a minor race.

Let me just say that this is an amazing work....but can anyone tell me why the AI only builds shuttlecrafts, scouts and freighters? i don`t know if it´s just a bug our if i did not installed it right, anyway the mod is great, thx ;)
The primary reason would be that there needs to be a large pool of ship designs for the AI to choose from. As it stands all races have Shuttlecraft designs, but larger ship designs not so much. There are some other reasons, but ultimately it is an issue with the mod itself.
Thank you for your reply, could i by deleting some of the A.I ship designs or by adding some variations improve this situation?
Adding more ship designs would give the AI more ships to choose from, and this would increase the potential diversity of ships used by the AI.
An additional issue is a change to the BlackBox mod I had done, but did not re-balance the economy for. The AI could have an issue of not having the income to afford larger ship upkeep. One solution to this is playing at the hardest difficultly levels since the AI will have considerably more money. I know that this is not a perfect solution, but it does increase the likelihood of seeing more enemy ships of larger sizes.
I have been already playing it at brutal, i will create more ship designs and maybe the situation will change, anyway thank you for your advice, and i look forward the next update ;)
This is Hail Hydra from steam... if I reduced the cost and then added the AI ships I built would it then work or would it priorities vanilla ships first?
blackbox 318 should help this situation and only improve with more designs to choose from added.
Hi there, fantastic mod which, combined with black box, is the only way I play Star Drive these days. I have noticed a niggling issue though, from an immersion standpoint, that ship names are no longer persistent when saving/loading a game. Every ship reverts to a default name such as "Constitution-class Light Cruiser", rather than retaining the name generated for it when construction has been completed, or a custom name if one has been applied. This only seems to have appeared as an issue since somewhere around Sept 2014. Any ideas? Is this a known bug, or something I have done incorrectly at my end during the setup process? Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Currently running the latest versions of both releases.
Just tested this issue without activating the shattered alliance mod, and it seems to still be present with just black box over a fresh install of Star Drive, so will post on the Black Box mod page instead. Many thanks.
