I have small question
Is this "Hardware Patch" is also include patch for fixing camera bugs "2.01 Patch (Camera Bug)" or I need install it separately?

Tried installing, but access to any of my files has been denied. I've run as admin but no luck
On some newer system we had the issue that you need to have a DVD in your empty disc-drive to let the scan run fully throw.
If that still doesn't help, plese contact me at the official SpellForce-Discord-Server.
On Win10, you need to allow the patch to the Controlled folder access:
> open Windows Security
> Go to "Virus & threat protection"
> click on "Manage setting" under Virus & threat protection setting
> scroll down and click on "Manage Controlled folder access"
> then either turn it off or add the patch by clicking on "Allow an app through Controlled folder access"

I cant download this. its says archive is damaged or not there.
Please use the newest version of winrar and make sure the download is not blocked on your end.
What if it doesn't work on the same PC it used to work on, with the same OS as well? I've checked the disc and the files, they look fine.
Can be a problem of some different resolution or other options. Try cancel the "config.xml" under Documents\SpellForce2, or edit it with the right/new screen resolution, while opening with Wordpad. Edit. Yes i have noticed this exe make a default config file making virtually impossible to launch the game again even after a reinstall!
There is a problem: i have launched > search installation and install patch then the log say "Current Resolution: 1536 x 864
Spellforce 2 Dragon Storm Installation patched
Settings Updated with current Resolution" and it reset/rewrite a new config.xml with default option, making the game not loading anymore cause the different resolution that should have, so to have it working need to know about the config file under documents, and have to manually edit it.
Thats seems a BIG issue, making the game no more usable for many people! just like the Guest Oct 14 2020 post in here!

Thanks for response and helping. Like i try to say(i'm not english native) i have understand the problem and fixed, but other, like the Guest Oct 14 2020 post in here can have a BIG problem that block the game, new or old install, till they do a manual rewrite of the config file. Consider i am on a Laptop, resolution: 16:9 up to 1920x1080, maybe its an issue related to integraded screen.

what me confuses is, that normal spellforce 2 dragon storm patch is 2.01
wouldn't this patch downgrade version 2.01 to 1.2 or do I have a misunderstanding here?
the version 1.2 is for the hardware patch itself, not game related.
Even running as admin I get "access denied" to most folders. Why I can't tell the patcher where is my game?

Hi you do not have the most recent files here and in archive there is only readme and changelog files.
Have you tried simply reading them and getting the latest version at the forum?
Why are there only 2 text files in the folder?
