Run the program QTapLapGB.exe in the GENERATOR directory, fill out the form (first of all, the admin login, the admin password, your name and the name of the guestbook, the name of the script file in Perl) and click "Generate". The directory structure of the distribution is similar to the structure of the site that is located on the server (or on localhost). The Perl code generated by the program (by default, the file is called gb.cgi) should be located in the cgi-bin directory
It is best to create a separate directory for the guestbook and unzip the entire distribution there. Then run QTapLapGB.exe in the GENERATOR directory, and
put the generated code in the cgi-bin directory, then upload all directories except GENERATOR and all files in them, except ReadMe.txt to a remote server (or to a localhost). Different hosting providers may need to arrange the files differently, pay attention to the settings in the generator, they must correspond to the directory structure on the server.
After uploading, set the Perl file from cgi-bin (default /cgi-bin/gb.cgi) permission to 0711, and the data file (default /cgi-bin/data/.gbdb) permission to 0777. The guestbook is ready.
This program is completely free (freeware), can be distributed without restrictions and used for any [legitimate] purposes. You can reprogram it at your own discretion, as well as reprogram guest books created with it. The only thing I ask is that you do not remove information about me as the author of the original version, and also keep a clickable link to the catalog of my programs. It is not necessary to leave the inscription "Author:", you can just mention me in the list of authors or create the inscription "Based on Quick Tyap-Lyap GB by Super-M" in the "About" window.
