A complete release of the mod now including my rebalanced version of Swiss Halberdier's AUM-EMP (with his permission) his mod can be found over at TWC I hugely recommend his optional graphics pack and depending onlanguage used you may also need UCP from his site (also available here on ModDB) Huge thanks to Swiss Halberdier for the permission Unzip the file in the download and place AUM-EMP and Prelude to War in your data folder and your statspos in data/campaigns/main (AFTER MAKNG A BACKUP) and enable with Mod Manager and youre good to go

Going to download and try it out now. Honestly I have never played Empire TW other then an hour or two at release so this mod will be my base Empire experience :)

Make sure you get the UCP linked in the description, not everyone needs it but most do. Once theyre all enabled with the modmanager you should see ranges of 200 on most troops. Thought it worth mentioning since you dont have much to compare to that thats hiw to tell if its working.

dnt see any UCP linked anywhere. All units are 120 soldiers. Also graphics options are not allowing me to pick anything other then low/med
Starred a couple turns as Venice, will try more tomorrow

Its in the main description rather than the file description. Youll need that and the other .packs in data and them AUM-EMP and preludetowar.pack will need enabling with mod manager 1.5, unit sizes will be pretty large but you can always drop that in the settings

So I reinstalled Empire, I placed the AUM-EMP and Prelude to War files in my empire Data folder, and the startpos to data/campaigns/main. I then added the optional graphics pack and the UAC to data folder. I launched Mod Manager 1.5 and launched the game through the mod manager. I have many more factions available then Vanilla game but Range for troops is generally around 70-90 not 200. Did I do something wrong?

ah nvm i figured it out. Thought the mod was active with mod manager simply by running the program.. didnt notice I had to uncheck the show all pack types box to make the check boxes appear in order to activate the mod. Goin to start a campaign now :)

Started campaign as Venice, noticed I could recruit Swiss, American and Indian mercs on turn 1. Is this intended?
Also I noticed on the faction selection screen many faction descriptions say unplayable.. Should i just stick to the original factions or can I play a full campaign as one of the added factions?

Yeah the mercs are intended, theyre a bit part of the Venetian playstyle. You can play as anyone with full functionality, though you may have a more polished game with major nations just from the amount of time spent on them

Do I need the prelude to war and the overhaul mod? Also is it easy enough to use this. Cant seem to get mods for this to work as its the definitive steam version.

thanks

You need all the files in the Prelude to War Overhaul download, the other one is the old version. Also, make sure you get the UCP (theres a link in the summary section) amd then get yourself modmanager 1.5 and if yoi follow the installation instructions you should be fine. Of you have any issues hop into the discord and ill help you out through there

Great mod! However i ran into some problems. 1- There are still firelock men. ( I don't know if you just reduced the men or there arnt supposed to be any ) 2- i don't see 200 troops only 120 or less 3- I dont know if the extra troops pack work i don't see where more troops need to be. But i see all the factions, AI movement etcetera is also better so i dont know 70% works. I tried downloading Mod manager but Mac doesnt allow exe files. So maby that is the other 30% i need but i cannot find a mod manager what the mac can open.

The startpos file covers all the factions so a very small part of the mod will be working for you as the startpos is in. You may be able to get Kaedrins Mod Manager to work for mac but im not sure, thats where id start the seardh for a working one. Its for tww2 but works for empire

Well i tried almost everything, there is a mac program called Wine and that one can open exe files. I tried that, didnt work. every mod manager i downloaded are all exe files. i tried boot camp, also didnt work. So i am a bit lost here. I have seen everywhere that many many mac users have this problem, i dont understand that after 6~+ years still nobody has made a mod manager for mac lol. Oh well, i'll update if i get it.

Installed this along with BSM music pack sfx and marches (Latest from here)
Also added Larger font mod and for some reason I don't think it's working 100% correctly it shows in the mod manager but no roads showing on CM , the reinforce button still reinforces units too.
No forts which I really like but It's annoying not being able to see the roads,
Also every single building takes one turn to build ?
It seems pretty OP Campaign I've played 24 or more turns (1702)
And I feel; like I'm way way more advanced than I should be in 1702
at the rate I'm going the British will rule the world by 1705.
So is it supposed to be this way ?
