Unofficial patch by XDavidXtreme for Painkiller: Overdose.
Unofficial patch that addresses a lot of issues in both MP and SP. Fixes some major bugs which broke immersion and implements some features that were scrapped during development.
You must have Patch 84.4 already installed; otherwise, it will not work.
Common:
- NEW: Ectoplasmer's projectiles now make a sound when they hit something.
- NEW: Ectoplasmer's projectiles will now stick to the target for a couple of seconds.
- NEW: Added /version command.
- NEW: Added Crossbow combo.
- NEW: New Weapon Modifier effects:
- Razor Cube's primary's range is increased.
- Crossbow's secondary in MP will now have a fire explosion.
- Screamer's primary ammo consumption is 2x slower in MP, and in SP its chance to consume ammo is 2x less likely.
- Hellblade's primary detection radius is larger.
- Hellblade's secondary will no longer return when hitting static geometry or tough enemies (does not apply to water).
- Ectoplasmer's primary will now cause burn effects while the bullet is lodged into the enemy.
- Eggbombs arm instantly when thrown.
- CHANGE: Changed pickup sounds for Razor Cube, Bonegun, Cannongun, Screamer, Ectoplasmer and Eggbombs.
- CHANGE: Screamer now makes a sound when it doesn't have ammo.
- CHANGE: Hellblade's primary will now target the closest joint of an enemy, not the center of the hitbox.
- CHANGE: Reduced Screamer's size in pickup state.
- CHANGE: Razor Cube's pickup state now uses the cogwheel icon.
- CHANGE: Hellblade's secondary will return once you hit 0 instead of -1.

- FIX: Ectoplasmer's projectile's particles will now come out of the hole produced instead of near the hole.

- FIX: Fixed the 0 weapon switch delay bug for Ectoplasmer.

- FIX: You no longer shoot 3 arrows with Crossbow if you have 2 or 1.

- Dark Energy's ammo particles now show in the correct place for MP Client.

- FIX: The Quad sound plays when you have Quad and detonate Eggbombs or throw Eggbombs.
- FIX: Weapons' secondary idle animations now play properly.
- FIX: You can now change FOV while Crossbow is selected.
- FIX: Crossbow no longer has a quick camera snap when changing FOV while holding another weapon.
- FIX: Fire now makes the appropriate sound when damaging the player.
- FIX: Important sounds like the Bonegun's shooting no longer stop playing if there are too many of them.
- FIX: Inverting weapon fire in menu will now display the proper ammo icon order for some weapons.
- FIX: Now weapon fire switching works properly if inverted in the config menu.
- FIX: Screamer's ray and Hellblade's marker are no longer misaligned when going farther away from 0,0,0.
- FIX: Cannongun will now produce particle trails when secondary is used while having Weapon Modifier.
- FIX: Some weapons are no longer able to be used if the player was holding the attack button before being charmed.
- FIX: The Razor Cube's primary will now deal quad damage when having the Rage Powerup.

MP:
- NEW: Patched in "Soul Reaper" scrapped gamemode.
- NEW: Partially added in a new multiplayer character "Nephilim".
- NEW: New death messages for Screamer, Hellblade, Ectoplasmer and Eggbombs.
- NEW: You can now change your player model mid-game with "/model" or in Player Settings.
- NEW: EggBombs now explode when shot at in MP.
- CHANGE: Ectoplasmer no longer shows the secondary attack on the HUD.
- CHANGE: Crossbow's secondary will only consume 1 ammo instead of 6 and has a limit of 100.

- FIX: Hellblade now has its own glow and sound when using secondary, it also no longer gets stuck on geomtery when briefly touching it.

- FIX: Eggbombs can no longer be seen in hand after throwing them.
- FIX: If you threw Eggbombs and died, you will no longer have the detonator in hand when picking up the weapon again.

- FIX: Fixed some ammo still being able to be picked up even if you have max ammo.
- FIX: Bonegun is no longer outside the red soul when dropped by player.

- CHANGE: Replaced Ectoplasmer's ability to randomly burn enemies near the projectile with its Weapon Modifier.

- It is now possible to collect all gold in Nuclear Plant, Field Ambulance, Studios, and Loony Park.
- FIX: Some enemies that weren't counted in the scoreboard are now counted:
- The 6 bigger Bossmen that appeared in Loony Park are now counted in the scoreboard.
- The 2 Gladiators in the Cataclysm.
- The Priest in front of the church in Village of the Damned.
- FIX: It is no longer possible to trigger the End Portal in Loony Park without killing every pirate.
- FIX: It is no longer possible to bypass a trigger in Ragnarok if you didn't kill the enemies.

- It is now possible to kill every enemy and collect every soul in Dead Marsh and Ragnarok.
- FIX: Some petrified enemies from Cataclysm no longer spawn facing the wrong direction.
- FIX: The gong sound stacking in Japanese Massacre is now regulated.
- FIX: The gong will now make sounds from explosive sources.
- FIX: The gong will no longer make sounds when hit by Ectoplasmer's secondary.
- FIX: The gong no longer makes 2D sounds instead of 3D sounds.
- FIX: Checkpoints are no longer floating above ground in some levels.
- FIX: The doors in Cataclysm no longer have gaps around the edge.
- FIX: The Overseer's corpse throwing animation is now synchronized.
- FIX: The Overseer will no longer interrupt its hook attack midway just to resume it later.
- FIX: The Overseer's hook now can pull the player closer even if he is standing still.
- FIX: The Overseer's hook will now latch on the surface (including the player) it lands instead of flying into the orbit.
- FIX: The Overseer's hook will now make a sound when it hits an enemy.
- FIX: You no longer hear the unpetrify sound when you load Cataclysm or Samael's Lair.
- FIX: Statue enemies from Cataclysm no longer have particles attached to them on spawn.
- FIX: The Elemental Giant's hammer particles are now synchronized with the weapon instead of the body.
- FIX: It is no longer possible to softlock yourself by destroying the Magma Demon meteorites.
- FIX: Extra gold from the Greed Tarot Card is now counted in the menu's gold counter.
- FIX: Extra gold from jewelry when using the Greed Tarot Card is no longer added to the normal gold counter.
- FIX: Added missing environment sounds in Air Combat.
- FIX: It is no longer possible to deflect Black Demon's fireballs using explosions.
- FIX: You can no longer remove the frost on certain bodies by using the Ectoplasmer's secondary.
- FIX: Restored the sound that plays when a monster's corpse disappears.
- FIX: Some of Biomechanoid's mechanical parts will no longer bleed.
- FIX: Bloody Surgeon's buzzsaws can no longer be heard after dying.
- FIX: At the beginning of Field Ambulance, there will no longer be a monster that the compass tracks if you didn't trigger any monsters yet.
- FIX: Elemental Giant's hammer no longer bleeds.
- FIX: You can no longer damage Elemental Giant by shooting its hammer.
- FIX: It is no longer possible to get negative kills by having Priest revive certain non countable enemies. It is also no longer possible to go above the counter by resurrecting them as countable.
- FIX: Belial can no longer talk if he is dead.
- FIX: PKPerfect no longer works on Nightmare and above difficulties.
- FIX: The Guardian now takes damage from Crossbow's Heads in non-vulnerable spots.
- FIX: You can now damage The Guardian in the shoulders when its limbs are vulnerable.
