Correct, NTW3 v8.8 updates the MP Classic Battle mod, (it also includes the v8.8 Campaign patch that was posted earlier on Mod DB)

Download the NTW3 v8.8 and run as administrator to update the NTW3 mod.

Best to do a clean install of the NTW3 mod. Open the NTW3 desktop launcher and click "Restore Vanilla Files". Go to the steamapps\common\Napoleon Total War folder and select the “unins000.exe” “unins001.exe” etc. to remove the NTW3 mod. Then go to the Data folder and remove any remaining NTW3 folders & files, also remove your save_game files as they will not run in the new v8.7 or v8.8 mods.
Download the four parts of the v8.7 mod and the v8.7 Launcher fix: Moddb.com
Follow the directions on the NTW3 v8.7 install video by TSJ: Youtu.be
Download the v8.8 campaign patch and the NTW3-8.8-Patch.1 (May 26th).
To install right click NTW3.exe file and run as administrator.

You need have the NTW3 v8.7 patch (Jan.25th)
plus the v8.8 campaign patch (May6th)
and the v8.8 CLassic Battle patch (May26th)

Game runs fine for several turns then when I end turn it plays through some of Frances moves and then the game freezes and then crashes to desktop. No error report.

This mod is great but the unit run speed is incredibly slow. How can we change this please?
The original ntw vanilla mod was designed by CA for short, quick battles. The NTW3 mod reflects more realistic combat stats & speeds. Your cavalry and infantry will tire faster if you try to run them all over the battlefield. We've also slowed down the battles to give players time to make strategic decisions on deploying their armies for battle just as the real Napoleonic Generals did.

I want to ask why the text keep unchanged even if I changed txt.pack in classic mode when I play in classic mode. I have also tried to change the text in NTW3_txt.pack, but it also don't work. May I ask which text pack file should I change to make it work? Thank you!
the NTW3 text pack files are copied to the data folder from the NTW3 folder depending on which NTW3 mod you're playing (CB, Campaign, Peninsula)
~data/NTW3/Version87/Campaign/Packs/Europe or Peninsula folder
~data/NTW3/Version88/Classic folder
is there any progress when it comes to fixing the crashes? Like for example, when loading a save, during a battle, etc. I know it happens because of the mod pushing the game to its limits, but I just want to know if there is a possible fix.

Why can't i play a naval battle everytime i press sea and select a map when i get to the boat selecting menu everything just got gray i can move the mouse but cant press anything
You have to access the Naval battles through the 1805 European Campaign, select Play Battle/Naval and you should see this Navy setup screen. The factions & ships show are consistent with those available in 1805.

Hi, i want to ask if somebody has the problem with russian campaing while declaring war to ottomans. I cannot declare war on them, or rather when i open diplomacy or even order my army to attack ottoman city and declare war on them, no response is shown. The diplomacy window just froze.... I had this issue with 8.6. patch and now with 8.8. patch it´s same. Can someone describe to me what is happening? Thank you.
Select the Ottoman campaign from the NTW3 desktop menu. CA hard coded the Ottomans to declare war on the Austrians in the original ntw vanilla campaign which distracts from the main campaign against the French. We removed this from our 1805 European campaign and made a separate mod with no diplomatic restrictions.
Lord_Davn Hi, I'm curious about why did you disband Nizam-ı Cedid army? Even Janissaries riot because of them 1807 lol. I would like to see them. They was so good looking new order Ottoman unit :) and I want to feed back about "Delile" unit. It must be "Deliler". Deli is mean "mad", Deliler is mean "mads" :). Excellent mod except that. Congratulations...

I have a problem that when i start the mod the game starts aswell but couple seconds later it crashes and im not sure how to fix it i tried redowlanding the whole game
Please read my May 28th reply (above) on how to do a clean install of the original ntw game and the NTW3 mod. Sounds like you may have conflicts with other ntw mods going on.
Does game version take affect if the mod will start ?
NTW3 Classic Battle mod will start with a video on the main menu selection screen. The Campaign game has a brown background pic as shown above in TSJ's install video.
i have followed every step right for dowlanding the process and
i had the same problem with 8.7 Version aswell so it might be my problem in the matter but im not quite sure yet
People were right instaling this mod is very confusing.
so is the mod DB version require Steam Version or what ?
YES you must have a VALID copy of STEAM to play this or any othe TW game.
Hacked Steam accounts won't cut it anymore.

The game has to run the campaign map in the background waiting to determine the outcome of your battle. It can be quite demanding on even high end cpu's with graphic settings on high or ultra Youtube.com
Use the recommended medium size units for the campaign game and try adjusting your cpu graphic settings: Pcgameshardware.de
It is a cool mod guys but I can`t play online battles (host has another version)
I tried to play wu¡ith a friend that has the same napoleon version and the same NTW3 mods. How can I solve it?
Make sure that both of you have exactly the same NTW3 v87 mods and v88 updates installed (one for campaign & one for MP battles).
Good evening, I like the mod, but I have to install version 5.1 again because it has great Colombia. They have thought to put it back later.
Another question how to make a map for this game I wanted to make the scene of the battle of Boyaca I have the map but I do not know how and I have images of what the Colombian army looked like in 1819, with the British and Irish legions, cal command of Simon Bolivar

In ottoman campaign, playing as ottoman; There is no recruitment tab is showing up (ps, there are military building, also tried razing the old building and building ottoman military buildings still nothing ) in the conquered city.
That is a feature of the mod, you can only recruit in your home regions.
It would be difficult to talk the Russians (or Austrians) to fight with your Ottomans against their countrymen :(
Makes it hard to play world domination :(
Makes it more realistic, no more conquering Europe with Oldenburg :(
