This mod aims to make the Androids in Alien: Isolation less annoying by making two changes: lowering their health and making the Heavy Androids not aggressive.
I never liked the Heavy Androids and luckily, it seems they haven't received the last orders coming from Apollo. They will still move around and talk but they will not attack you unless you attack them. The Heavy Androids will only attack you to defend themselves and they will not hurt as much as before.
Finally, their health was also lowered for both but not by much so it shouldn't feel way different.
Have fun!
== How to install ==
Simply merge the DATA folder provided with your DATA folder in your base game installation directory
The DATA folder is located in the Alien Isolation folder, where your game is installed. (Steam/Steamapps/Common/Alien Isolation/DATA)
If you want to back up to the original settings, merge the content of the "Backup CHR_INFO" folder into your DATA folder in your base game installation directory.

Notes:
DO NOT DELETE YOUR CHR_INFO FOLDER BEFORE INSTALLING, just merge the two DATA folders.
The game can be entirely completed with this mod installed without any (known) issue.

How to make regular androids non-aggro as well?
Hello,
Have you tried duplicating and renaming "ANDROID_HEAVY.BML" to "ANDROID.BML"?
I'm not sure but this might work.
Also, there are other mods out there that aim to make both types of Androids peaceful if that doesn't work.
I tried this out and it doesn't seem to be working for me, the game just crashes. You mentioned other mods that can do this. Can you link any please? I keep looking for one like this that makes all androids peaceful until you attack but I can't find anything. Thank you.
Hello,
Sorry, just saw your message. Have you tried to uninstall then reinstall the mod? Instructions are provided in the .txt file. Also, what version of the game do you have?
Hope you can fix your issue.
Some people just want to go through a game simply for the story or have a little more time to explore or even adjust to the environment. Rather then have no idea where to go and bumping into things.
Let's be honest we don't know anything about this hunk of metal in space. Ripley does but we don't. Therefore, in some games it is not realistic because you are essentially totally dumb when in actuality the main character should not be.
Now this being a survival game you could argue making it hard or cumbersome is what it is all about but for some people like myself who like sci-fi but hate survival in general want to just experience the different levels and stuff to do. Or if it had a story just get that. Not simply running and hiding all the time from things. I don't get scared anyway from horror games most of the time so that aspect does nothing for me.
That is just my thoughts.
I appreciate mods that balance things out more or even make things easier. I have played games on hard but also enjoy just running through games on easy. My worth is not how good I am at manipulating electrons.

I am all for balancing the Working Joes a bit, but in my personal opinion the issues with them are not they are too tough to kill and deal too much damage. If you are smart with your tools and weapons, it's tense but in a way it should be.
The problem with them is what causes the mid portion feel like all encounters with them are a forced confrontation - their vision is cracked, in particular that of Industrial Joes. Their peripheral is as good as that of the Alien for Regular Models, and straight up superior for Industrial Models, but the bigger problem is that, especially on higher difficulties, their reaction time (time it takes them to spot your once you are in one of their vision cones) is way too bloody cracked. On Nightmare, the Industrial Joes can detect you literally in a fraction of a second, and while I am especially tolerant kind that has little issues with that, I can absolutely see how unjust that is. That, combined with their general sneakiness, is what makes it so hard and frustrating to attempt to stealth past them, and I would like to see people try and address that instead.
