This is version 1.0 of my texture pack. Every playable character (and every NPC that I know of) is in a state that I consider complete, at least for the moment. I can't say for sure that I won't find something to change later.
It appears that Texmod does NOT work if your game is installed within one of the main Program Files folders.
If your game is in Program Files, which is likely, it will have to be moved or reinstalled.
If you have the game through Steam, you will make a new Steam library folder in Steam's Download settings, then go to LSW's properties and click "Move Install Folder" in the Local Files tab.
With the game moved out of Program Files, I believe Texmod will work.
I realize this is not very convenient.
Extract Texmod.exe and Lego Star Wars.tpf to a convenient location. Run Texmod (be sure Steam is running if you own Lego Star Wars through Steam). In Package Mode, select LEGOStarWarsSaga.exe as the target application. Select Lego Star Wars.tpf in the "Select Packages" box. Click "Run" at the bottom of the window to launch the game. You will have to launch the game through Texmod every time you wish to use this pack. If it works, the splash screen should show Disney and Lucasfilm logos in place of the Lucasarts logo.
Notes:
Many of the changes I've made are not completely accurately reflected in the character portraits, but I've tried to make them close-ish.
Most characters have not had leg or back printing if they didn't already have it. In some cases (such as ANH Leia), the back and legs actually come from the same part of the texture. Bossk's waist piece gets its color from a strap on his torso. On the scout trooper, anything in the center of the back gets printed to the helmet of all places, which is why I left it partially blank.
Some things might look a little funky if the Enhanced Graphics setting is turned off. In particular, I've noticed that the frown on the Stormtroopers doesn't quite look right on the lower poly model.
I have not tested this on Mac and have no idea if it will work.
I can't seem to get any of the versions to work. I try running it with texmod, but it just runs the base game. I followed the instructions exactly. do I need to put the files somewhere specific??
I don't *think* they have to be somewhere specific, but I'm not completely positive. I'm going to try some things on another computer and see what happens. It's possible that Texmod can't modify the game if the game is inside of the Program Files folder.
It looks to me like if your Lego Star Wars Saga installation is in Program Files, Texmod is unable to work. I've confirmed this on my laptop. Even if I run Texmod as an administrator, it does nothing. On my main computer I have Lego Star Wars installed on another drive and it works. Even another folder outside of Program Files should work. I realize this is not convenient.
