This patch converts the KKND2 version from GOG or Steam into the HD version.
The installer is built to handle 5 different constellations automatically: Windows GOG/Steam, Linux native Steam (Proton) and GOG/Steam with Wine. It also detects the main screen resolution and calculates a good HD fit. 4K would work, but then the game is not playable anymore, so it automatically looks for a resolution with the same or similiar resolution ratio.
It is based on the HD KKND Mod KWIPv3 from Mutekx, that can be found here:

Because of the HD mod, it even runs better, smoother and more stable than the original on latest windows 10 and 11.
If you wish to use other resolutions, edit the program link shortcut on the desktop or the launch link in the game folder and set the width and height directly. More details about specific HD mod settings you can find in the original HD readme, bundled with this patch as well.
