UPDATE LOG
v1.04:
- Fixed bugs caused by v1.03 - improvement to code that reads this mod's random heroes, and other mod's custom heroes, into the game, meaning they should work more often
- Added feature that should prevent AI heroes from entering vehicles while still allowing players to enter vehicles when they play as heroes (BETA - please inform me if you find any issues)
- Fixed missing localization for Cassian Andor's weapons (if there's any more missing, please let me know)
- Fixed bug that causes an IMP hero on the CIS side of Death Star

- Fixed bug that stopped heroes from loading correctly where a mod map used 1 stock hero and 1 mod hero, such as in Marvel4's conversions, when using the AI version of this mod
- Fixed bug where this mod prevented other sound streams from loading

INTRODUCTION

I feel like this is always true with every new mod of mine, but this has been my favourite mod to work on so far. I'm really pleased with the results and hopefully you enjoy playing with it as much as I do.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1) Move the ZZY folder from the download into your addon folder
2) Decide whether you want to include AI hero support or not
a) If you would like AI heroes, open the provided 'User Scripts (AI Heroes Version)' folder
b) If you wouldn't, open the provided 'User Scripts (Non-AI Heroes Version)' folder
Note: this cannot be toggled on and off in the game, so you may wish to keep a copy of both versions, and save the unused version in a backup folder somewhere
3) Move ONE of the user_script files into your GameData\data\_lvl_pc folder:
- any user_script files over number 10 need to be consecutive
- If you don't have any, you'll need to use the user_script_11 provided
- If you already have a user_script_11 in your game, use the user_script_12 provided
- and so on...
- Again, you only need ONE of my provided files. However, I have built them in a way that if you don't read this and download them all, the lowest number one will be the only functioning one, and the others will deactivate.

That's it. It reads more complicated than it really is. Here are some other features of the mod:

- You have some control over which heroes you play with: the heroes are broken down into files based on where they come from, such as 'Prequel Trilogy' and 'Star Wars Rebels TV Show'. If you don't want a certain batch of heroes, you can simply move the relevant side file within ZZY\data\_LVL_PC\SIDE into the provided 'Not in Use' folder, or delete it if you want it to be more permanent. A list of the heroes, broken down into their files, can be found below.
- You can add your own heroes onto the game! Check out the separate download on the moddb page to be able to do this: Moddb.com

KNOWN BUGS
- With some hero assault mods, where the modder has used custom heroes, this mod will cause the game to crash. This is usually due to the modder using a stock character as a base for a mod one, for example [GT]Teancum's Chewbacca with C-3PO backpack from Cloud City. This mod reads the stock chewbacca and attempts to override it. But as stock Chewie isn't the hero ultimately added to the game, this mod can't replace it. Now Chewie with C-3PO hasn't got the essential model it needs to run being loaded, so the game crashes. I've not yet come up with a solution to fix all possibilities of this happening, but if I do I'll fix it in a future update.
- It is possible this may happen in a few mod 'conquest' maps too
- In 'hero assault', sometimes this mod causes the game to crash. I think this is due to the game trying to load too many jedi into the game and it overloads the Memory Pools. I've done what I can to minimise it, but if it occurs to you, just restart the game.
- In 'hero assault' Coruscant and Kashyyyk, some Clone Wars era weapons don't have sound effects. This is due to the standard hero assault not loading any CW weapon sound effects as they're all lightsaber wielders in the stock hero assault. I did not feel the effort it would take me to fix this for the few weapons it affects was worth it, but again I may do so in a future update.

Bit of modesty time. I can't make models. I can barely make maps. And without those that came before me, I wouldn't have had a clue how to make any of what I did here.

CONCEPT INSPIRATION
- nothisispatrick1/deltasquadforming: he messaged me 9 months ago with an idea for a Bad Batch mod. I gave him some initial help, but it got me thinking that the excellent hero mods being made weren't being fully utilised. Though it took me a few months before I came up with a suitable idea.
- iamashaymin: In April 2022, he launched the GameToast 'Back to the Basics - Map Making Contest 2022', which was a mapping only competition, and you weren't allowed to edit the lua, such as changing the Jedi. However, one of the bonus points awarded in the competition was for, "creative use of the limitations applied to the contest (Finding loopholes or doing something different.)" So yeah, my brain came up with the ultimate loophole to this...
