Upscaled texture for forsaken remastered. I used cupscale to upscale the pics with the skyrim texture models. This is a newer version with some errors fixed.
Make a copy of the forsakenEX.kpf in case you want go back to standard files then open the forsakenEX.kpf file in 7zip (or similar) and drag the contents of this mod's zip into it. Let me know if there are problems.
Looks good so far, but I noticed an issue in the first level in the lava pits section. Under the turrets that spawn are some metal plate decals with a round shape. These should have alpha transparency, but it looks like the transparency was lost when upscaling (which means these plates now have a black square background).
I recommend using this ESRGAN script which supports transparency: Github.com
Can you please send a screenshot? Given that nearly all of the textures are bmp and bmp format doesn't support transparency, it seems unlikely that's what'll be the problem.
This is in the middle of the Volcano level (the first level in the game), after you pass the falling rocks section: I.imgur.com
Notice the opaque plate on the right of the image.
I also got there with the default texture pack when trying out the game for the first time, but I don't remember seeing this missing transparency. Maybe I'm not remembering it right though…
I've just seen it too in later levels. I did some googling and to my surprise found references to bmp supporting transparency, though it's not commonly used, and not all software supports it. It seems ERSGAN doesn't preserve bmp transparency. The texture in question is the top right of
NME2.bmp. Putting the original nme2.bmp in the ForsakenEX.kpf/textures folder restores the transparency but the turrets look a bit more crap. The black in the upscaled version is what is meant to be transparent. I tried editing the image in GIMP and made the area transparent, but the file crashes forsaken with a compression error unless it's 8 bit, and GIMP won't save in 8 bit. Maybe photoshop will do it, but I don't have photoshop.
I think i found another bug with hd texture pack.
After the mission SHUTTLE BAY, the picture for next mission (military base) is oversized over whole screen and you cannot see mission description and cannot select manualy mission, as the selection option is covered over with image.

I will upload another fixed version to moddb when I have finished the game. In the meantime, open ForsakenEX.kpf in 7zip, open the levels folder, then the military folder. Extract military.png . Open it in paint (or similar) and shrink it. Save and drag back to ForsakenEX.kpf/levels/military . If it's still too big keep shrinking.
