This latest release of Fighter Combat Rework comes with a new map and the usual balancing tweaks.
WARNING: This update uses a different folder name than the last two versions! Make sure to uninstall older versions by deleting the SPA folder in your addons folder! From now on I will be using the SCR folder rather than SPA.
This update of Fighter Combat Rework brings the first of my planned original maps to the mod, Geonosian Airspace.
This new map functions just like any other space assault map, having key points to bomb (enemy ships and CIS comms antenna), plenty of space to fight, and the traditional variety of vehicles.
However, Geonosian Airspace adds a twist to this formula by adding a ground battle between the two spawns, providing a nice backdrop as well as another avenue to earn points. By destroying enemy ground forces, you can accumulate points in the same way that you can with killing enemy pilots and raiding hangars. This should hopefully add a new attack/defend layer to the map.
Geonosian Airspace also supports TDM. (CTF is not supported)
Other Changes:
-V-Wing now only drops bombs in sets of two (rather than 4), but at twice the damage per bomb.
-Commando Pistol animation changed to "rifle"
does this mod only rework fighter combat on your maps that are added?
sorry for the late response, this mod affects not just new maps, but the stock maps as well. The only exception is Hoth, because that's a can of worms I don't even want to open
