Needed for compatibility with the FFVIII Remastered 1.0.2 update.
The update to FFVIII Remastered on October 5th, 2021 changed some addresses in FFVIII_EFIGS.dll. If your copy of FFVIII Remastered has been updated to 1.0.2, use this instead of the one included in the FFVIII Crystal Remastered Version 1.1 archive.
Said update also broke support for Demaster, which is needed to mod FFVIII Remastered, so until Demaster is updated you can use zzzDeArchive (https://github.com/Sebanisu/zzzDeArchive/releases) instead. You may be better off waiting for an update to Demaster, though.
