Replacement for default elf head meshes and morphs, emulating appearance from DA2
Added replacements of default armour models for female characters, with proportions modeled to some degree after shape used in DA2.
note: "elf female proportions fix" mod cannot be installed together with the armour replacements, as both perform similar function and overwrite the same files.
Revised graphics style of DA2 changes number of features for the elves.
This modification attempts to emulate that particular change, to provide slightly better visual continuity between both games. It is currently work in progress.
installation:
---------------
unzip the archive to folder "../Bioware/DragonAge/packages/core/override" which is typically located in "My Documents" folder.
to uninstall:
---------------
delete folder "da2_elf" from folder "../Bioware/DragonAge/packages/core/override"
notes and known issues:
---------------
some of the character morphs require "tucked hair" mod to show up properly. The mod can be acquired here
the modifications are likely to conflict with any other mod which changes appearance of the elf faces. If such conflict happens, installing the mod instead to folder ""../Bioware/DragonAge/packages/core/override/toolsetexport" may allow it to receive the top priority from the game engine, and ensure it's used instead of the other modifications.
free to alter or use in your mod. credit my name if you please
Hello there, I'm not sure whether this will be read or not, it's not exactly a young mod or a young game, but here goes.
I'm having trouble with installation, I extract the da2_elf folder from elf_update.zip to the override folder, and it sort of works. The new design is there in the creation menu, but it is just all messed up, the face is up at the level the human face sits but the head and eyes stay floating below it. Maybe it's just old I'm not sure.
I also have SJC's vanilla face texture replacement installed, and a few other irrelevant retextures that don't impact characters, so I'm not sure why it's happening.
Thanks.
Nevermind, found the problem it was realistic teeth that was conflicting.
Thanks.
did you have to remove the realistic teeth mod or did you find away to use both without conflict?
I had the same problem, removing Realistic Teeth solved the problem. Luckily the mods that depended on it had non dependent versions like the Inquisition Leliana and Morrigan morphs. I've alerted the respective mod authors about it, hopefully there will be a fix soon
The mod looks really nice, but I have a problem: some female hairstyles don't load on NPCs, or in presets. They're available in character creation other than the presets, though. Any ideas on how to fix this?
I still really like the mod, so for now I'll just ignore the occasional creepy see-through heads. XD
EDIT: Right after I posted this, I realized I didn't have your Tucked Hair mod installed. That fixed it right up! Thanks for the cool mod!
This mod looks amazing, though I have no clue how all the files work. The description is somewhat lacking in details. I'm pretty sure the elf_update.zip is the base mod, the elf_update-bodies.zip and the da2ef_underwear_nude.zip govern underwear possession and the proportions-elf_da2.zip seems pretty self-explanatory, but the rest overwrites things and I have no idea if I want it to do that. Can anyone help?
This mod looks fantastic and is exactly what I've been looking for. However, though the changes work with the Ferelden Elves mod I cannot get this mod to work with my PC elf at all. I've tried reinstalling it multiple times and moving it to the toolsetexport location but nothing works...
EDIT: Figured it out! Word of advice, do not use a Nexus mod manager to install it, do everything manually.
I cannot make sense of these files, what is the difference between the light/light unisex/light unisex symmetrical/etc?
If anyone could explain which files are which I would greatly appreciate it!

Can I use different eye textures or will they conflict the the mod?
Edit: I figured it out. I placed the eye textures I wanted to use on toolsetexport folder inside the Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\Override folder. If you don't have that folder in your Override, create one
