so far so good.... 1 thing though.... wish there was support for custom music with custom maps... only limited to the main soundtrack...

Oh man, I wish that was possible too, but unfortunatelly the Engine does not allow to load musics in the fly.

I'm sorry, but.. for maximized HUD, when bottom panel is gone (only visible ammo, health, inventory amd ammo stats), where is door keys panel?)

Yeah, in the minimun HUD, no keycard appears, just like the original game. The keycard icons would make the minimum HUD too bloated, so I had to keep this functionality.

But thanks for the feedback, maybe I'll try to come up with something for the next patch.

Thank you and hail to the king!

Simple text ammo and inventory counter option for minimalistic HUD would be nice too. This is the only reason why I hate minimalistic HUD and have to play with full HUD - I can't play without ammo counters, but full takes too much space.

Still missing 1+ monster(s) at the end of the maps, so I can't get both completionist rewards. Is there any workaround?

Update. Pig corpses are supposed to be a solid objects? Because constantly blocking you from pickups, your way and line of fire, but not enemies, and getting rows of particles and objects stacked on top looks broken.

hello, how are you?

I'm aware of these bugs, they'll be fixed by the next patch (today or tomorrow, maybe).

Thank you for the feedback and Hail to the King, baby!

Some more feedback on updated version and couple of QoL suggestion.

Now when that missing enemies counter is fixed, it shows wrong numbers like 70/70 while you clearly hear and know there is more. But if this is how workaround works, it's fine.
Alien troopers bug appeared, theyre getting constantly revived on regular difficulties until you blow them up like on OG Come Get Some.
Screen flashing, shotgun gibbing and new grounds flames as options would be great.
Anyone feels like door kicking (with damage to enemies standing behind) is a must have feature? :D

Hello! Yeah, unfortunatelly this aptch does not fix that, im releasing a patch today or tomorrow.

And, if I may ask you, what you mean by screen flashing?

Thank you, and hail to the king!

Screen flashing/blending effects on damage, pickups and some screen transitions. I tried to adjust or remove it when Alien Armageddon mod was released and flashing was severely bad to the point it hurts my eyes and I'm not even epileptic, but apparently it was hardcoded. If you know how to reduce it at least to 50%, that would be really helpful.

Yeah, that cannot be done, it's an integral part of the engine.

Having a blast with See You In Hell difficulty. Mirrored maps are definitely a cherry on top and made me realize how much we rely on muscle memory. Do you think you can also implement a limited amount of times the player is allowed to save the game per level when playing on this difficulty?

Is there any way to disable the flashing lights on sectors such as the sign under movie sign at the start of the game and the disco levels etc? Those and the muzzleflashes are whats keeping me from playing the game.

hey if you want to add some rare levels and lost bosses and enemies i would suggest you cheak out duke nukem advance.

it has the grey alien enemy from dnf 2001 along with what seems to be dr proton and his army of robot crabs, rotation sprites for all enemy corpses, unique weapons like some sort of assault rifle or grenade launcher along with a two-headed beta firefly trooper along with a alien boss I struggle to describe.

the link to most of the assets are here

You've done it again! :D This new version blows the previous one out of the water and brings it to the level of a refined legendary masterpiece! I love the upscaling it looks very authentic and clean, looking high definition without losing the original look and the voxels are a very nice touch. The Sonic Resonater is a really fun and impactful weapon to use and it is immensely satisfying using the Laser Chainsaw to cut aliens to shred!

I just finished with the enhanced 'The Birth' and it was kickass from beginning to end! I was really impressed and surprised with the new boss encounter! I can't wait to replay the whole game on 'See You in Hell!' for the Ultimate Badass Duke Challenge! Hail to the King Baby! Hail to Marc for making one of the best Duke3D mods in a long time! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the King! :D

Nowhere is it written that the game requires Windows 10 or Windows 11... Why is that? My computer runs games up to 2020 without problems, but your modification does not run. Previous versions of your mod run fine on Windows 8.1 x64. I tried running this version of the mod on a Windows 11 x64 laptop and it works without problems. But not on Windows 8.1. What is the point of making an artificial limitation in the form of the latest operating system?

Hi there!! The Eduke32 is compatible down to Windows 7, the problem must be with some Windows Libraries, try reinstalling the Microsoft Runtime Libraries to work. If it keeps happening, PM me with your PC Configuration so I can investigate!!

I reinstalled ALL POSSIBLE Visual C libraries using the installer from the Major Geeks site. Problems in this direction are excluded, because I repeat, the previous version of your modification runs on this computer without problems.
On a laptop with Windows 11, at startup, a black window frame appears for a moment and disappears, and after that the game starts. I think this splash screen is the problem.
Always bet on Duke!
