Duke Nukem 3D - Legacy Edition 1.2
New version of the mod, containing lots of bug fixes, new features, rebalance and of the things you asked for.

INSTALLATION:
1. Unzip the package
2. Copy and paste the duke3d.grp 1.5 version to the folder where the eduke32.exe resides (if you have the steam version, eduke32 will automatically find it for you)
3. Open Eduke32.exe
4. Get a beer (or something to drink I don't know)
5. Get confortable
6.???
7. HIT THE G#$%AMN START BUTTON
8. Profit
This update brings lots of bug fixes and new features.

NEW FEATURES:
- You can now disable the screen bump when using the Mighty Foot;
- You can now enable the Pistol to be automatic;
- Redesigned the Elite Pig Cop and made him more dangerous;
- Weapon Wheel now shows the amount of ammo you have;
- Added Episode Level sub-menu;
- Balanced game in lower skill levels;
- Added widescreen texture to title cards AND bonus screen;
- Linux version;
- Added destroyed body counter
- Changed Game Intro (CHECK IT OUT);
- Destructable wall texture now give points to the player when shot;
- Killing a Boss gives points to the player;
- Finishing a level gives points to the player;
BUG FIXES:
- Increased Pipebombs in the box to 5;
- Fixed Ultra RPG inaccuracy;
- Added Snakehead explosion when it bulls towards the player;
- Fixed Overlord mini-boss being too easy;
- Snakedrone and Drone explosions now deal less damage;
- Fixed Overlord RPG without fire smoke and dealing too much damage;
- Increased Battlelord walk and run velocities;
- Fixed Space Suit Jetpack bug;
- Increased Jetpack duration by 10 seconds;
- Fixed score system calculation;
- Fixed score system not calculating Green Slime death in the body counter;
- Fixed destroyed body counter not countingAdded body counter to level stats;
Remember, this mod was made to work with software (8-bit) mode, it's not recommend to be played with OpenGL!
OBS: This mod uses a customized version of eduke32, don't try to use other versions, it won't work!

when will we be able to play user maps?
Finish all 3 episodes to unlock the user maps!
so, i went back to replay episode 1 on stream last night with the new update. and though i don't mind it to much really, that the episodes are locked within having to complete'em. isn't it gonna be annoying though when more possible updates happen and we have to playthrough all the episodes to unlock'em again when we already did?
For the next release there will be a expansion package for everyon who already has the current version.

i hope that's gonna be soon. btw, you talked about how the Groovy difficulty is the old POC difficulty. you never really explained what makes that different compared to the version we know of now. so. care to explain?
Is it available for Xbox series s 🤔 or am I completely wrong?
Unless there's a way to play Windows executables in Xbox Series S, there's no support!

So, since linux version doesn't seem to be included in the zip file (only eduke32.exe is there) which executable should we use on Linux in order to play it?

Second, can provide also a wad file, or there is a way to play in eduke32 for Android? So could be played in a phone, Im using the New Zeta touch emulator, it has a eduke32 port works nice in pones

Hello!! Unfortunately, there's no support for Zeta Touch since it uses a customized version of Eduke32. I'm still evaluating the possibility, but stay tuned!!
Hello Marco, so far I've finished the first episode of your mod. Impressive work! Nowadays I mostly play user maps and haven't touched vanilla episodes in years. Now I'm actually looking forward to finishing them! :) Looking forward to new features.
Great mod. Had a blast playing
so i played the mod and i had a lot of fun playing it but i will admit there are some things that bothered me like the music.
i didnt like some of the choices for the music, they werent bad or anything but i dont think they fit some of the levels at all like the hotel hell level playing "plasma" instead of "lord of LA" so i wouldnt mind seeing an option to switch to the original soundtrack of duke 3d.
another thing that bothered me was the fact that the flame enforcers didnt have a different sprite compared to the standard enforcer, so hopefully that gets changed in a future release
the rest of my complaints are more just nitpicks like the ultra RPG only having 9 rockets instead of 10 and the ammo pickups having 4 rockets (the math is really weird on that one),the flamethrower not having a more unique sprite and in general felt to similar to the freezethrower gameplay wise.
the only other nitpick i had was the RPG not having splash damage with its primary fire and the alt fire feeling slightly underpowered. other then that i had alot of fun playing this mod, also where is the music track in fusion station from because that track slapped?

About the music, I'm studying changing some choices (Hotel Hell being one of them). The flame enforcers only have the weapon arm different.
Ahh, acutally the Ultra RPG box gives you 3 missiles instead of 4, it's the RPG box that gives you 4. But being 9 missiles maximum is wwhat keeps it balanced due to its powerfulness!
About the Alt-Fire of the RPG, I'm increasing its damage, I've noticed it got very nerfed now.

Hello! It seems that I can't load the 1.2 version of the mod. I have gotten the 1.5's DUKE3D.grp file in the EDuke32 folder, but when I start the game it sits in the taskbar for a couple of seconds and then crashes. Is there anything I could do to try and make it launch? My IGPU is HD 2000, if that matters.

Hi, I'm doing great, thanks for asking! No, I did not have any troubles running EDuke32 before, I downloaded the latest version of the engine and there was no troubles running the software renderer, but crashed if I would use Polymer/most renderers. Judging from the log, I assume that Legacy Edition crashes due to my old IGPU, but I'm not really sure, so I'll send the log in your direct messages right now.

They are not in plans right now. After The Birth we will have a campaign based on the prototype builds and after that, I dont know.
But stay tuned, if I see that people really want the expansions, I might do something.

So I just bought Steam's world tour edition, what's the difference between that and this? AND can I use this mod with that version?
