The files from this mod can moderately improve stability and performance of the game, reduce the chances of crashing, fix UI scaling on resolutions higher than 1080p, and fix sound related issues.
The .zip archive contains "_README-P&S_INSTRUCTIONS.txt" which you need to follow to the letter in order to correctly apply the fixes. It also contains further details on things to keep in mind, and additional steps that need to be applied aside from simply installing it.
Is there any point installing this performance mod for for campaign play?
No, not really. The vanilla game with vanilla unit counts and types runs fine as-is, only use this if you're playing with mods.
On my 2021 gaming laptop, the engine try to run with no FramePerSecond limit, till overheating and make PC crash so as not to melt. Vsync activation or FPS setting are totally absent in the idiotic options of game.
Found solution, manually activating VSync, thanks to Pcgamingwiki.com ,lots more fix exist, like the reactivation of LAN and direct IP.
