Suppanut has and always will be the original author of the Warlords mod. This is an Older Version of Warlords before Pioneers, Negate 1st strike Death Knights, Venom, Zeal and a few other added spells that changed things a bit . Played More then 10 games on this patch and it was very fun and felt like a good spot on the patch list. Thought of posting this on here for future players. Use GOG Galaxy to rollback to 1.4.01 version of Caster for windows. on the original Realms beyond forum this is the windows version of caster they used for the mod until 1.4.6. I have learned from The Doom II modding community it is useful to save older versions of mods for how they end up playing. Suppanut has and always will be the original author

Do you want to play with no Crashes? No Slow Turns? Races feeling unique and having engineers feels meaningful? Check out this amazing legacy patch version of Warlords.
Step 1:
Go to your Master of Magic for windows install DIR (with the launcher.exe) and make a copy of your
"Master of Magic Caster Windows" and place it in the same folder, rename it to "Master of Magic Caster Windows Warlord"
Step 2:
Drag the contense of the 7z into your main install DIR for Master of magic (that has the launcher.exe ) and replace all the files.
if fresh install you should not have any crash issues.
I have had issues keeping any .sav files in the folder from previous versions/ base game so move those out of the folder as well.
in gog galaxy roll back to 1.4.01 , it then downloads something like 17mbs and it says its complete, but after testing you need to "manage installation " then verify files , then it downloads something like 80mbs , then make the copy of your folder and install warlords on that install.
Note: this is an old version of a mod from sole author Suppanut4625

And Suppanut definitely did NOT give permission for this to be posted outside of the Warlords ModDB page or for you to start directing people to your copy instead of his official release. Could have at least put his name on it and a link to the Warlords page.
Why would a human use a mod db archive version post to discredit the original author of the mod he loves ? I just posted this here because it was a reliable version that did not crash and had its own feel before lots of new changes. The way the Warlords mod used to work was a post of each version w/ its own download link in the forums then changed to a single page format. So I posted the older version . Then some people who like to start drama post comments about this being some sort of attack on the project... Maybe settle down a bit.
