Overview.
The victory at Kharkov, coming not long after a national period of mourning in Germany following the defeat at Stalingrad, was important for many reasons. Kharkov was one of the largest cities in the Soviet Union, and was an important road and railway hub. The Soviet armies, having fought a successful winter campaign, had felt that the Germans would be organizing a withdrawal and were eager to complete the destruction of German and allied forces in southern Russia that had begun with the annihilation of Sixth Army at Stalingrad.. The German counterattack was something of a surprise to them and the victory was given much publicity in an attempt to bolster morale at home and in the field.
The year 1943 saw a dramatic turn in fortune for German soldiers in the East; their enemy was becoming increasingly well equipped, gaining in battle experience and also in confidence as a result of the large scale defeat being inflicted on the Germans at Stalingrad. Nonetheless, Germany would follow up the disastrous defeat at Stalingrad in January-February with a victory of its own at Kharkov, and finally launch its last large-scale offensive of the war in the East at Kursk in the late summer.

The Game.
The Kharkov – The Last German Victory campaign starts with the German troops enter Kharkov, the second largest city in the Ukraine, which had changed hands several times in the battle between the Russians and the invading German forces, and ends in 1943 with the Russians re-take and keep the battle beaten city for Kharkov – The Last German Victory is based on TT’s vetmod v1.2 and Grossdeutschland with new uniforms, sounds and explosions. Play with hero setting, timer set to 9 min and 100% players realism rating, the campaign can be played 1 player and H2H with both German and Russian teams.

What will the next version of Kharkov – The Last German Victory contains? Well is up to you, if I get enough feedback I will work to improve the campaign.
Right now I am working on a new title screen, a intro movie and of cause full briefings for the operations and names on all victory locations.

3. Download and Install Kharkov map pack from CSO

Notes.

All the winter maps for Kharkov – The Last German Victory are set to winter (light or deep snow) so if you want the soldiers to wear winter uniforms, remember to copy/overwrite the maps text files form Kharkov map folder even if you all ready have the maps in your Close Combat III – The Rusian Front folder.
