This package is the Main Basic Release of the Call of Duty 4 Survival Mode for Singleplayer. It includes all necessary source files for users to make their own maps with, and two map examples, one fully detailed and one empty and basic like a template along with extensive text details and guides. A special app that helps while developing singleplayer levels in Call of Duty 4 is also included which will make the users job way easier than using the default cod4 tools. Extensive information is included for that as well.
Call of Duty 4 Survival Mode is a custom game mode for SINGLEPLAYER that tries to simulate MW3 Survival mode mechanics in Call of Duty 4 using what the game already had. This first basic version is limited on purpose in order to provide a stable and functioning, mod-free working experience where people can either make their own Call of Duty 4 Survival maps, or even modify, expand, improve or fix the system of the gamemode itself.
The current release is NOT INCLUDING PLAYABLE FILES. Therefore if you want to download this just to play it and you don't have COD4 MOD TOOLS nor the knowledge to use them, this release is not useful to you. There's an other upload with the playable files only.
This OPEN SOURCE version includes files for users to use on COD4 MOD TOOLS plus a tiny app that I use myself for years and it really helped me with working on COD4 Mission Making. Extensive information, details and guides for all the files and the game-mode provided is included in 3 text files in the download.
With this download, you can make your own Survival Missions for Call of Duty 4 given the system I provided. You can either limit yourself on just making maps, or expand and improve the gamemode itself. You are free to edit and use it at your own interest.
In case you create your own variation of the game mode, please make sure to give it a proper title that describes its functionality changes and difference from other versions that might come here. And you are of course free to upload it here as well. Just please make sure to give credits to SPi and Scillman for the hard work of putting together the basic version of it which started it all.
I've done a small update including some animscript files, some minor sound files for helicopters and user_interface sounds in the download that were necessary for the mode that the regular user doesn't have. If you re-download they should be included now.
