Quo Vadis Studios loses a founding member, but is more than likely in-line for a merger, and/or new members.

It is a somewhat sad time here at Quo Vadis Studios, as one of our founding members, Aaron Yappa (username: fireaza) has given indication to us, that he no longer wishes to be part of the company, and will instead return to do another course at university. We are just waiting for him to formally un-enroll from Quo Vadis, here on IndieDB, and then it will be completely official.

While his presence in Quo Vadis will be sadly missed, it is not all bad news. His departure has galvanised our minds, and we have, after an important meeting, decided to attempt to merge, with another indie company formed at QUT in 2012. We have several indie companies in mind, that we would like to merge with, and we will be making contact with them in the next few weeks; according to the information we have currently, at least one of the companies should merge with us. Also, we are on the lookout for QUT games degree graduates, with the right skills (specifically art/animation and programming), and who find themselves in need of joining a company. [Note: If this applies to you, please contact us - we would love to have you on board]

Irregardless of whether we merge, or get new members, we have decided that after the next game update, Hippie Swarm will be put on the backburner (due to lower than expected download numbers), and we will embark on new project.

In other news, it appears that despite our good pitch to the angel investors, we will not be recieving any funding from them. On the other hand, it could be that the angel investors are just taking their time, in deciding who gets the funding, and who doesn't.

Finally, despite our best intentions, version 1.2 of Hippie Swam is still being delayed by the credits sequence; the complete redesign is taking more time to finish than we would like, but believe us when we say it is time well spent.

We will continue to keep everyone updated, as regards our merger ventures, and we will immediately announce, if and when we sucessfully merge, or gain new members.
