The company was formed in September of 2013 by Christopher Arnold. Christopher Arnold comes from a programming background and started out first as an Android app developer. After creating Ping, he took a break for a while. The following summer, the game burst in popularity on Google Play in South Korea which amassed to over 24,000 downloads. It made him consider maybe taking his game development ideas even further and started on an ambitious project, Ping 2. With Ping 2, a development team was needed and a proper company was needing to be formed. Now exists NAMI TENTOU MUSHI, LLC. The name NAMI TENTOU MUSHI means harmonia axyridis which is a specific type of ladybug. This particular ladybug was brought from Asia to the United States to help control pests in crops. The reason we chose this as the name of our company is because we believe that our methods towards game design will combine eastern and western game culture. And it doesn't hurt that ladybugs look cute.
