As part of a thesis project, the game design department of the Mediadesign University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf, Germany is conducting a survey concerning the mentality of gamers. The survey investigates on the user behaviour and attitude towards different aspects of the digital distribution of games.
It tries to find answers to the question of how gamer communities respond to different monetization models and how they adhere to pricing and distribution policies in the digital market. In this part of the research, we are looking out particularly for participants who play Indie Games.
The first results are scheduled to be published in September and will then be opened as OpenData project so that every Indie Developer can work with the data. Of course, the survey is designed so that you stay anonymous.
If you want to learn more about the research background of this survey, you can read everything on my personal IndieDB blog. I will also keep you updated on the progress there.
Really nice, just made it.
Hope there are some cool results, so you keep us up-to-date? Nice!
