An indie game from 2006 gets some love in order to be able to look better and make it more enjoyable.
HD textures, fixed issues, new texture filtering.
The mod in a nutshell:
Anisotropic filtering: All the textures now use 16x anisotropic filtering by default, in order to look sharper.
General stuff: Fixed some typos, a spectator walking through the ground, etc.
Phong shading: The default shading method was replaced by phong shading. It makes lighting nicer.
Remade HD textures: Most textures from the different assets and locations from the game have been redone or enhanced. On average, this overhaul provides textures 4 times bigger than the vanilla ones. All textures have been redone to look as good as possible, without looking too different from the original ones.
Vectorized HD character color sets: All the character´s outfits and color combinations have now 0 aliasing, since the textures were vectorized and saved in 2K res files.
FAQ:
1) Where can I download the base game?
Go to Walaber.com and download ""Walaber's Trampoline".
2) What are the minimum requirements?
The vanilla game runs on basically any system. This overhaul, even though the textures are bigger and the game will use more VRAM, will probably run great on any 512MB graphics card. If you are lagging, reduce Antialiasing on the game´s launcher.
3) Is this finished?
So far... yes, this is a final version. However, if I get to understand the Ogre Engine better, I would love to add some more detail to certain locations, and, more than anything, make the trampoline metal actually look like metal. Being able to polish the maps 3D objects would be awesome, but I can´t do that... at least for now!
Installation:
1) Extract the "materials", "locales" and "tasksets" folders inside the "Walaber's Trampoline\media" folder. Overwrite everything.
2) Play.
