A map based on Real-Life...
This map is reconstruction of part of Czech village Úvalno (50°2'50"N, 17°44'41"E).
This location contains historical buildings: church of St. Nicholas
(architecture from 2nd half of 14th century, later reconstructed in baroque style)
and baroque storehouse from 17th century. There is also shop named “Švestka” (plum)
and pub “Na kovárnì” (in blacksmithery),shop and pub are build in 20th century
(communistic architectonic style).I made interiors of these buildings except of
church (I am limited of game - there are too many vertexes in map). I made detailed
3D skybox of outer environment as you can see in reality. I special thank
to Hessi, who agreed with my request. I used his models of trees in my map.
Before I start work I draw some plans, find out satellite and air photos and take
more than 700 photos of location to make right ground plan.
In reality roads and buildings orientations aren’t straight, but editor grid is rectangular,
so I had to arrange angle abnormalities to rectangular grid (uv_satel.jpg).
This map rather serves as documentation map of real location.
Map is compiled with HDR effects and amount of props (increase esthetical design,
unfortunately decrase fps and playability).
All my custom materials I took with my camera and convert to game to by photoshop.
I took photos of traffic signs and horizon behind crematory (hill with houses below).
All logos of Czech firms I purposely modified to not to harm their trademarks
(Staropramen > Mladopramen, Kofola > Ofofa, Hruška /pear/ > Švestka /plum/ ).
All my custom textures and Hessi’s models are included into bsp. file by Pakrat.
