The 2.3 version of my giant open-world map Rohan! Now compatible with Edain Mod 4.6!
The map contains almost the whole Rohan, including Edoras, Helm's Deep, Isengard, Fangorn, fords of Isen, and a big plain of Rohan.
The map is made to be played 2v2, but now you can play it also 1v1, 2v1.
Edoras and Helm's Deep are optimized to be played as Rohan faction. Both players should pick Rohan and expect some small differences between the two cities (dIfferent heroes mainly):
- Edoras player can recruit Royal archers, Merry, Gamling, Eowyn, Theodred, Theoden and Gandalf the White.
- Helm's Deep player can recruit Hama, Eomer, Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas and Haldir with his Galadhrim.
One player is in Edoras, one in Helm's Deep, one in Isengard and one in a normal camp (for evil). If a player wants to control Edoras AND Helm's Deep, he may pick Edoras and leave the Helm's Deep slot empty. He will get the control of the two cities.
The map has be made to be played multiplayer, but AI is very challenging if you play as Good side. A very good way to expect a strong challenge is to play 1v2 as Rohan in Edoras. As mentionned before, you will control Edoras and Helm's Deep and will have to defend both fortresses.
KNOWN BUG: Boromir is summoned permanently each time you cast the spell. I don't know how to fix that.

Hey Map is looking Pretty good but we get Direct3D error everytime after we played a few minutes.

It is amazing, can you pls make a Gondor version too ?
Are you going to update the older verison too ? Because it was different from this one it wasn't only 1v1 but i think it had more script too.
One thing, Galadhrim can't be upgraded. May be Haldir's skill is broken.
Hello, I would like to play these maps. I love Rohan. I downloaded and pasted them into the folder but they don't appear when I open the game. If I have downloaded others that appear and I can select them to play. any advice? Regards.
The map is fun, but also buggy & some details are a bit disappointing.
Helm's Deep - walking on top the gatehouse can get your units stuck if you use 'S' to stop them there;
The "hidden" door can get your heroes stuck (already had Haldir and Legolas get stuck there twice);
Not enough building plots (Helm's Deep player will have a challenge with resources);
The Ghalladrim can't get any upgrades (Battle Ready remains locked no matter what i do);
Map-pathfinding is acceptable, but needs serious fixing (units keep going places you haven't told them to - they see an enemy, but run back to the keep instead of fighting);
Helm's Deep player has "Glorious Theoden" ability, but no Theoden hero;
also the map makes my game crash sometimes.
I absolutely love the idea of an Open-World map, but you need to fix the bugs and rearrange some things. Like Helm's Deep - walls are so large i have to rotate the camera to use some buildings... and the Rohan pre-built barracks is hard to spot, can you move it a bit and make it easier to locate?
