This pack includes high resolution movie poster replacement textures to replace the low resolution movie posters found in the Redneck Rampage games.
Movie Poster Pack for Redneck Rampage by Swampflies
Background:
If you are familiar with Redneck Rampage then you probably know that there are movie posters littered throughout the games. The younger crowd might not realize that the movie posters are of actual B movies released in the 80s and 90s. The films were all made by Troma Entertainment which is an independent film production and distribution company. Since they were all terrible films, Interplay aptly used the movie posters in the Redneck Rampage games (assuming under license from Troma).
Unfortunately, most of these movie posters are of such low resolution its hard to even make out whats on them. That's where this pack comes in. Each of the movie posters have now been replaced with an HD version of the original. It makes it a bit more fun now that you can find the posters (often hidden throughout the game) and now actually see them.
Installation:
This pack works with the current upscale packs available for Redneck Rampage on Moddb. Just unzip the folders included in the upscale packs, replace the files with the ones from this pack, and re-save the .zip file. For example, using the upscale pack by phredreeke, you can open rrupscale.zip, navigate to the "upscale" folder, and replace the respective files with the files from this pack.
I've organized the pack into three folders. So you can mix and match or replace with your preferred set:
(1) Distressed and Assorted: This folder has some movie posters that are wrinkled/dirty to simulate those included in the game.
(2) Edge Distressed Only: This folder has movie posters that only have distressed/torn edges.
(3) No Distress: No changes to the movie posters.
