No noise on HUD (via TexMod) addon

If you have a display problem running this game on Windows 10, first off "per pixel lighting" in settings then run this mod with TexMod (available here).
The first step gets rid of the graphics driver crashes and the second nullifies the HUD noise that happens during explosions and while getting shot at.

I tried editing files to avoid using TexMod but to no avail, the noise always seems to come back home.
If anyone has an idea I'm all ears.
