Mission is a medium-sized multiplayer and Survival Mode map in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. It takes place around a bombed out church and surrounding areas in Sierra Leone, Africa.
The two main spawn points are located at either ends of the map, at the bottom of the hill and near the top of the hill. Near the center of the map, there is a severe elevation change that gives an over-look position over roughly a quarter of the map. This hill is often hotly contested. There are several buildings on the map, but not many indoor opportunities. There are many back-alleys that offer the same style of close quarters combat. There is a good amount of long range lines of sight on the roads of the map.
