High-resolution effects addon

Contents

New high-quality textures for various effects.

• Lens flare - New lens flare. Similar to the original, but with a much higher resolution (512p vs 32p)
• Missiles and bullets - Thicker missile smoke and higher-res bullets
• Explosions - Hi-res explosions, including special effects for weapons like the FAEB or the SWBM
• Blue afterburners - Optional. Hi-res blue afterburner effect, gives a nice contrast during sunset and nighttime missions!
• Orange afterburners - Hi-res orange afterburner effect, similar to Ace Combat 6's and Ace Combat Xi's.

Prerequisites

• This mod requires having the latest PPSSPP version installed and working.
• The latest version of Superostrich's HD texture pack for Ace Combat X installed: Superostrich.xyz

Installation

« NOTE: Installing this mod will replace the contents of the Superostrich's HD Texture Pack. I recommend backing up the texture we'll replace. »

1. Extract the folder "effects" into the folder ".../ppsspp/PSP/TEXTURES/*ACX_DiscID*/"
   
   
2. Extract the file "textures.ini" into the folder ".../ppsspp/PSP/TEXTURES/*ACX_DiscID*/"
   
   
3. Accept any prompts to overwrite the existing files.
   
   
4. (OPTIONAL) Extract the contents of the folder "Afterburners(Blue)" into the folder ".../ppsspp/PSP/TEXTURES/*ACX_DiscID*/effects"

This mod is designed to replace multiple effects and to work with Superostrich's HD Texture pack by default.
