Addon moved to new location, check link bellow or search for mod: Stalker Two-K
How is Call of Misery for you by the way. When ever I played it with StCoM and automnal winds I would get stack trace crashes left and right, kinda ridiculous. My specs are : intel i5 6600k overclocked 4.4 ghz. nvidia 1070. 16 gb ddr4. The resolution I was played at was 1440p. Any help? Also great addon just tried in regular CoC since CoM crashes so often.
Call of Misery work pretty well in Stalker mods standards, so yeah it crash often without a reason, but even default stalker can do that...
I use bunch of mods with it, and it took me some time to get good order of installing it, maybe in this configuration you will get less crashes, I get only 2-3 crashes in 3h game session:
2. Call of Chernobyl 1.4.16_patch
Also I uploaded Fluffy Grass for normal CoC, because it have different graphic for Jupiter, Pripyat and Zaton. So if you get weird grass on those maps replace it with this version:
There will be update soon that change few elements to fit every map, because for now its the same configuration for every map.
Tried your configuration of mods and the game crashes whenever I try and start a character. Got any ideas?
All I can say without looking at logs is that its important to keep install order for STCoM(fix and then translation) and then Outfit addon.
Also you can skip:
and Gore Mode
I followed the order presented above and I tested the game at each step. It starts crashing when i use STCOM_WP_Fix. I am using the currently updated fix that is meant for COM 1.0d.

I continued after to see if any changes exist when I install the rest of the content(I am also using the Outfit addon vanilla 4.03 not the STCOP patch. That's correct right? Since it's STCOM not STCOP). Upon further testing it still has that error above.
Error obviously say that you are missing "weapon_scopes.ltx" file...
It should be in gamedata/configs/weapons
This file is part of zip: "Call_of_Misery_1.0d_STCoM_WP" so make sure that this zip file is not corrupted and you copied everything from it.
So again, just to be sure, I installed CoM again on my PC in this order:
First CoC with patch:
1. Main CoC game(version 14.12) Moddb.com
2. Patch(14.16) Moddb.com
Then Actuall CoM:
3. Main CoM game Moddb.com
4. Translation Moddb.com
Then STCoM Weapon Pack:
5. Main zip with STCoM Moddb.com
6. Fix for STCoM Moddb.com
7. TRanslation Moddb.com
Then Outfit addon:
(you choose folder: ""Outfit Addon +STCoP for CoM 1.0d (v4.03)"" inside zip)
And everything worked.
So just make sure that you fallow this order.
Then if it work, make copy of folders "configs" and "scripts" and then you can install any other addons you like. If game will crash or stop working after installing those additional addons, instead of reinstalling whole CoM you can just revert to those backup folders.
aw sht I got to get A.N.R hence nature redux
Heyyyyyy, that's pretty good, gonna stick with it for sure.
Also, could you tell me what lightning settings you use? Screenshots look pretty cool.
Screens are from Call of Misery. I will soon update files AND screenshots from default CoC version, so they will look a bit different in terms of density.
As for Lighting settings that I use... I use maxed DX9, because DX11 mess up sun shafts that I just love :]
Well I'm playing Call of Misery as well, but mine isn't even close to the way it looks for you.
Do you know if there should be any fps drop with this? Im too lazy to test
If you use default grass density and range, you should get exactly the same fps as with default grass.
If you use more dense settings... you still will get the same fps :]
Graphic have the same resolution so it should be fine.
I will update it soon with additional file that make grass higher, but still it should not make any problems with performance.
Small update released!
Remember that to get best look, you need to change those settings in console:
After typing it, restart game and be happy with all those fluffy and bushy grass!
I use r__detail_radius 250 to see grasses from far away. Would this work with your addon or melt my laptop? Do these grasses demand much more resources?
I also play on Laptop with crappy Radeon M330 :D
But still I can get 30-50fps with maxed settings on DX9(Enhanced)with just vision/light distance set to half, mostly because DX11 have lots of light bugs and there is no real quality difference for me...
With current version of Fluffy Grass AND with recommended settings r_details_density 0.25 & r_details_radius 64
I have maybe 1-4fps drop... so its not that bad.
Remember that in those settings LOWER number mean more grass, and as far as you keep radius between 64-120 and density at 0.2-0.35 you will get that bushy and fluffy effect for grass.
Ok, thanks! I'll give it a try
I was under the impression that lower numbers with "r__details_density" meant more densely spawned/crowded grass, and that with "r__details_radius" higher numbers meant greater draw distance for grass.
I have been using r__detail_density 0.2 & r__detail_radius 250 and have pretty dense grass that spreads nearly as far as the eye can see.
Yeah I mean lower density is more grass, but to keep the same performance those setting give best balance between look and speed.
Also if you check this screenshot you see that difference is not that big between 64 radius and 200(that I normally used on CoC before) so I really dont see the reason to use more...
As I mentioned I play on laptop and still with maxed settings I get smooth gameplay, but loosing 5-8fps just to get some tiny grass dots far far away when setting it more than 200 is not worth it...
Would it works with COP ?
It should work with CoP. It have the same grass arrangement as CoP for Jupiter, Pripyat and Zaton map.
You can try, if there will be problem I will update it with proper CoP version
With new elements, some tweaks with color correction, and now every level have different configurations with their own style(eg, Red Forest is more red'ish and bar is less colorful)
does it include a npc helper dog like that ?
Fluffy dog is DLC for only 9.99$
Standard Fluffy Grass addon contain only modified grass, kindly splashed by his holy pee.
After I paste a command it says unknown command and there arent any fluffy grass in game. Any help?
did you copy gamedata folder to your stalker folder and replaced all files there?
After you done that, start stalker(you dont need to load game, just type it in main menu), open console, and type this, it should give you hint that there is such command:
Make sure that no error show up. And as I said, when you start typing, you should get list bellow console with comamnds that are similar to what you are writing.
Then quit game, and start it again. After you load game, you should get new grass textures that should be way more dense than default one.
If you dont use any other addon that change grass, you should see new one straight after loading game.
umm, i just installed the mod, i see the grass changed, but its far from Dense or anything like that.
Remember to change r_details_density to something between 0.10 and 0.3
If you have good hardware, you can set it to:
And you will get really dense grass.
I could actually post modified dll file to FORCE it like that + make it taller, but it would hit performance massively, and its just not worth it.
it just says unknown command always i do it
you can always open, user.ltx in appdata folder, search for keyword "details" and change it there.
This mod + the tweaks in console make the game look so amazing. Thank you for this mod
EDIT: Never mind
Latest version contain more natural grass with less saturation.
Also I made more test on slower machines that I had, and latest configurations should give better results without too much lose of performances:
Also Im really sorry, because previously I wrote "r_details" instead of "r__detail" -_-
I didnt copy/paste it but just wrote it without thinking :/
Sorry for confusion...
Thanks for the update, it indeed looks more natural. Also, the grass configuration values you provided are indeed more "balanced" formy Intel HD Graphics 5500.
No need to appologies, everyone makes mistakes ;).
A sidenote, you forgot to put the folders into the level folder.
Thanks! Fixed that!
I was trying to make addon to make tall grass in every level and this what happen:
Seriously, mow grass in your garden or this will happen! -_-
Thats good until somehow npc able to spot or shoot you from 30 meters away while you hiding inside tall grass and bush that you even cant see a meter from it, unless you put enemy cant see through tall grass from dans mod otherwise it benefit to enemy npc rather than player
'unknown command: r__detail_radius'
when typing r__detail_radius 160 in the console
What am I doing wrong?
r__detail_density seems to work
when you start typing r_ you should get tips bellow with those commands, just select them and change those values.
Also you can start typing "detail" and those two commands should show up in those tips.
Also you can just edit user.ltx in stalker appdata folder with any notepad, search for word "detail" and you should see both those lines in that file
There is no r__detail_radius in the user.ltx. Could it be r__dtex_range 50. ?
It must be there, Call of Chernobyl would crash if you would not have such command or it would create it automatically when you start game.
If you didnt modify your user.ltx it need to be just bellow r__detail_density
Just check via crtl+f word "radius"
There is no radius word in my user.ltx and my game works perfect. I really think that it is r__dtex_range in mine. Do u have such a command ?
Oops, I forgot to mention I m using COP. It works for it btw.
OMG... you could say that in the first place that you play normal CoP :/
In normal CoP there is no radius for grass in user.ltx...
If you play CoP you dont need that line, and no, dtex_range is not related to grass.
Do u know what is dtex_range for ?
dtex_range controls details of textures when you walk close to some objects like wall/rock/tree.
Bigger number you set there, more of those details you will see from the distance.
It can hit performances a bit, but as far as you have more than 4GB of RAM and 512MB of Graphic RAM you dont need to worry about it, and you can set it to max
Small Update with hi-res ground grass texture as optional addon.
Additional "Moist" version was splashed by his Holiness Fluffy Dog, so its more shinny and darker.
I actually made that texture for other game, but its also look nice in Stalker, so feel free to check it!
This plus a prone mod are a must have mod. Great job for this amazing mod.
I think you forgot put the "high-res grass textures(Normal)" in v5
Yeah, previously high-res texture was in optional folder, now its part of addon it self in gamedata folder. I decide to do that, because that texture is part of look of the grass it self, and it just fit to Fluffy Grass. There is no performance drop so no one should have problem with that.
Now only Darker grass and Asphalt Texture is in optional folder.
I will change description in next update because Im preparing new optional bushes.
Better this way IMO.. Thanks for the great addon :)
