I bought this game on steam couple of hours ago and loving it BUT installing skins is a huge pain in the ***. What I do is I put the ''models'' and ''material'' files in my ''Vampire'' File from my VtMB file from steam. I know how to install mods on fo3, oblivion and dragon age so i (think) im not a complete noob but when I install them this way te character models are werid purple looking, like they are missing the textures? This looks cool and I want it but I obviously need some help. Thanks.
I think you have to download the latest unofficial patch first after you install the game, and then dont do anything with the folders. Just overwrite the Vampire folder with this, what you downloaded from here. :) Maybe this helps!^^

Umm...maybe 'couse I didn't get models and skins of many clans in ''program files'', so I had to find Malkavian skin on net and reskin it.
the site Gamefront doesn't work. I don't succeed in unloading the download!
i realy like this skin but i can't seem to get it to work can any one walk me throught it?
most skin mods are under material or model folder in your main game files folder so to start from the beginning u must first open your main game folder.
easiest way is to just right click on the your game icon that starts up game then it will show u options u need to click on one says open file location to get to your main game folders.
now when its open click on vampire folder which are all main files.
easist thing i do is just imitate that folder with my vamp folder so for example when u first start to click though the white goddess malkavavian folder it starts with materials which are one of the folders u might see listed in your main folders
after u opened your main folder the vampire one that i said earlier how to do.
sometimes u can just stick the folder in with that one and it will auto put all files where there soppose to be after u accept the change.
or to make positive it works do it manually so if u follow through the goddess folder it first starts with materials so open that folder in main game files thats materials then open model folder
then character folder put the eyes from goddess folder in this section then open pc folder then open female folder then put in the malkaviian folder in this section.
note the malkaviin folder at the end of the goddess folders after u have click through all the goddess folder that one
not the first one at the beginning as i said u will notice as u click through the goddess folder it has the same folders when u keep clicking through them as your main folder so like most skin mods just follow them through the folders then do same for main files folders to see where they go
and btw u might not see any model folders or materail ones for your main files which might throw u off u will need mostly any game patch like 1.2 which they have on this site or u can get 7. 5 on fileplanet.com a more updated and reusable version incase u have to reinstall game
