Collection of Ambient music for Call of Chernobyl.
v2 - As requested I added ogg comments to all files. ;)
They where not really necessary to work, but now they will not spam console with "missing ogg-comment" info.
First of all, I need to say that I love Stalker music. I have Stalker soundtrack all the time on my phone, and I still think that after OST for Fallout 1 by Mark Morgan, Stalker soundtrack by MoozE is one of the best you can get from game.
But... I'm also one of person who for most of time prefer to lower or even turn off music in any game I play. Its a matter of loosing focus? Its too "melodic" for that type of game? Who know...
So I decided to upload for you something that I created long time ago. Its collection of Ambient music that I made by my self long time ago. I think it fit to stalker pretty nice, its more of background type of music, less disturbing, more immerse, so if you also lower music volume, its should fit you pretty good.
Talking about that collection, back in 2009 I started creating music for my self and for some other projects for my friends. I have really weird taste, that for most of time is related somehow with Ambient or even Dark Ambient style, so it was a matter of time before I was starting to experiment with making that kind of music.
In 2011 after lots of experimenting I created 3 albums with one I actually released in small independent online music distributor that was focused on Ambient music. I was really proud of that even if it was really amateurish work. But after some time, because of work and lack of time, and mostly after distributor closed his site, I stopped creating music.
But even after all those years, I still use parts of that music in different projects, one of that project I will like to present you now.
In this collection I decided to choose not my personal "best" music tracks, but ones that are less melodic, less distracting and more "natural" for background sounds.
My goal was to replace standard Stalker music with something fresh and new, but that will not be too annoying or distracting. Point is to make that music to be just a background of gameplay, you hear it, but you not focus on it. Its job is to keep game atmospheric by providing background sounds for it.
Just copy whole gamedata folder to your Stalker game folder.
Beside music it contain also config file that is there just to tell game with track use in with level. Without that file game will use default music.
Addon is compatible ONLY with Call of Chernobyl
If you like my work, you can support me by buying me a coffee and cookies, so I will have energy to make more new stuff for you!
Notice that my addons are free to use and modify by anyone as far as its noncommercial stuff related to Stalker. donations are seriously for cookies, coffee and chocolate that I just love -_-
There is obviously no screen shoot for that music but here is few links and actual covers from Albums.
Some mumbo jumbo about copyright:
Music collection that is in this addon, is my personal work, my child, my own tears and blood. Its not perfect but its my own, I spend massive amount of time creating and collecting sounds that I used in this music. It was necessary especially when some of those tracks where distributed online back in 2011-2013.
Because of that, I will be happy if you will not use it in any way without informing me about it.
I know that no one care about that, because I realize that its not professional work and no one need to use it anywhere, but still, perfect or not, I treat it as my own child -_-
