Long lost Daddy of all roads is finally found... and its big... its huge... it uber-ultra!
Long time ago, far away from where Im siting now(next room the be more precise), I was making experiments: how big textures can Stalker handle without crashing and without lagging too much? And even if most of textures in Stalker Two-K where made in 4096px resolution and then resized to 2k for mod, as any mad scientist I wanted more! I made few textures in uber-resolution of 8192x8192px resolution or 8k for short, that is not used often even in modern games! I was hitting maximum of what my laptop can give me to process all those files. I was working on gimp files that weight 4-5GB and loading every layer take ages(about 1-2sec to be more precise). Saving them take decades(about 5min...) I even turned on storm ambient sound to feel like mad scientist!(not really, for most of time Im listening old múm albums I just have good memories related to it)
But as any mad Scientist... I forgot about it and could not find those files -_-
But two days ago I got my hand on one of my backup HDD and there it was... 150Mb of pure Asphaltum-Gigantus... And it was beautiful just like I was remembering it...
And what could I do if not share it with others?
Now best part is that Asphaltum-Gigantus dont really crush Stalker... Game work like nothing happened. It swallowed that 150MB and didnt even noticed.
