Peoples Liberation Army Navy - 2012 Pennant number font
Since 2012 the chinese navy has started adopting a new standard for its ship hull numbers. Some Chinese J-15 wear these number styles on their nose on some newer models.
While western style vertical block pennant style numbers dominate in their appearance in most media.
The Chinese has taken a different styled approach as it's navy continues to grow while possibly moves into a more international role in appearance.
The number designs follow a golden ratio like most vertical block lettering's, a unique design rule featured corners that are joined by a series of 2 small tangent arcs and 1 large tangent arc to make up the appearance of the chamfers that expresses the design tension when viewed up close.

Like many military fonts, this is not normally available for download for the public. In response I decided to look into its design specifications, not only recreating the numbers but also made Latin letters adopting the same design rules. This is not a trace but a re-implementation following original design rules in the above image, so expect minor visual differences from the original.
