A remaster of Dawn of War Soulstorm aimed for a new exciting gameplay experience accompanied by reworked visuals, sounds, maps and more.
9th Edition Conversion!
- Redux's balance has been changed to reflect 9th edition rules instead of 8th edition with significant buffs being given to Dark Eldar, multiple melee weapons having more armour-piercing and unit armours being changed completely.
- 2 new infantry squads were added with Necrons receiving Deathmarks and Chaos receiving Noise Marines. Khorne Berzerkers were also given a Berzerker Champion leader. Entrenchment units like Heavy Weapons Teams and XV88 Broadside Battlesuits no longer require entrenchment with Heavy Weapons Teams now receiving a Mortar weapon upgrade. Cultists also had a model replacement courtesy of Kekoulis with DoW2 voice changes.
- Icons were updated! Vanilla portraits are upscaled thanks to ThePrussianMink. Research and ability icons were revised to match the existing UI. The hud also has revised background assets for Playback, Building Addons and Squad Hold/Garrison features.
- AI was overhauled and updated with new build orders and unit build decisions. AI will also utilize a rare tier 2 rushing build order if maps are large enough and player counts are 6 or above.
- Tooltips now list off existing weapons for units so players know their AP and Strength values as well as additional information.
- Kozzak Deadlands is the newest 8 player map to be added to the mod. Frostbite River, Moonbase, Rokclaw Foothills and Thargorum were also updated with additional background details.
- Includes 20 new fx which covers Plasma Guns, Missile Launchers, Scatter Lasers, Deathspinners, Dark Lances as well as death fx for Vehicles and Dreadnoughts.
One thing to note is that Ork UI is still not finished and will still look fairly rough. Portraits have yet to be finalized as well. You can view the balance changes for v1.22 here!
TO INSTALL: Make sure you delete the "redux" folder in your Dawn of War directory if you have a previous version already installed. Extract the contents of the zip file into your Soulstorm folder. It's recommended to use the Mod Manager to open the mod instead of directly through the game.

Sorry guys new to this mod business but how do i install it?
Just extract it in your Soulstorm directory.
Then you can run the game and choose this mod in Mod Manager section or download and extract DoW Mod Manager in your Soulstorm directory - it will help downloading and managing mods A LOT ;-)

Help, i got a problem when getting reinforcement or upgrading weapons for my units, it stuck at a random percent and sometimes i can't use the reinforcement and upgrade button at all, pls help i love this mod:)
You have to reinforce your units at base structures, listening posts and transport vehicles.

I also had the same problem, I was playing the latest version of steam,when getting reinforcement,its always stuck at random,and can't use the reinforcement and upgrade button at all.

In the corners of some maps, soldiers will be stuck and unable to move
You'll need to specify which maps this occurs on since I can likely test and fix the issue but keep in mind, there's a glitch with units who melee leap where they'll launch themselves to map corners and get stuck so if its Kroot Carnivores, Harlequin or Repentia, that's just an issue with the engine.
Riverbed, troops get stuck on every uphill corner. At present, I don't play much in this version, because there is a bug that the squad cannot be reinforced. So only this one map is found to be problematic.
It needs to be said that when the heavy machine gun fires bullets, the special effects under the feet are the best in all mods! That feeling of power! Nice job!
No remake for Single player Campaign. Boring

Hi is it possible to disable the rule wich disable squad add member only arround ally building ?
This rule tend to orient skirmish to be spend more time toward bases and limit the dynamic of gameplay from my point of view wich is a bit boring.
I'll consider looking/asking around if there's a wincondition to enable reinforcing.
