The hotfix Update! (1.88.731)
Hello everyone! This upload is the release of the next version, version 1.88.731 Full! It fixes some critical issues, that were introduces in 1.88.73 and makes some balance changes! Many thanks to Kekoulis, Demi, Herald of Tzeentch, Aslan and Dontask for their contribution to this patch! See the full changelog here below:

- Dawn of War - Soulstorm.
- At least 10 GB of space on your computer. (Recommended) Minimal of 9.7 GB + Standalone faction mods.
- Tyranids 0.5b2
- Download Tyranids standalone mod if you do not have it.
- Inquisition Daemonhunters for Soulstorm is already integrated in UA! Thanks to jONES1979 and IDH team.

-FreeUI is optional when you want to play chaos daemons standalone.
INSTALLATION:

Installation should be straight forward:
1. Download 1.88.731 file
4. Run the 1.88.731 installer.
5. Download Tyranids
6. Run Tyranids Installer
7. Run the Mod Using the DoW Mod Manager v1.52
8. Enjoy!

PROBLEM: INSTALLATION FAILED (Via crash to desktop upon starting game):

- One possible solution would be you did not download and install any standalone factions.
- Another possible solution would be you did not put ALL files into the SS directory.
- Last and final solution would be you have a corrupted install. Try to download again from a different mirror.

I agree, it is silly.
who uses walls anyway? sorry but i never found any use for them in this game unlike age of empires in which they are pretty handy
If you play against ai, walls are great distractions, they usually target your walls instead of your turrets/important buildings. Also walls are great at obstructing enemy movement.

Uhm... maybe you should remove them at all? Cuz they without this nerf is a little useless, only if you had MUCH more then 3 they can do something.

has anyone else been getting constant sync errors right after starting multiplayer skirmish match in this hotfix patch? my friend and I had to resort to downgrading to 1.88.73 in order to play with each other.

Hello... Was hoping that the creators of the mod would also take a gander of incorporating this in campaign mode for Soulstorm? ^^ Just wishful thinking I guess. :)
It is not officially supported, and I don't see any reason why they would do so before the mod is in a more complete state, but here is a link to a "mod" that will enable the campaign in UA:

I am using that, but I have encountered issues with it, wherein the game crashes to desktop most of the time. To the point where I cannot even finish one encounter map in campaign mode. ^^
What patch version are you using and when specifically are you getting crashes? (IE Which if any honour guard / defenses are involved and which races)
I loaded up a SM campaign and have had no issues 3 turns and 2 battles in using a modified 1.88.72
If the version for ultimate apocalypse, it's the latest full one 1.88.731-Full. As for, the version of the Kaurava Campaign addon, I'm not sure. Is there a way to check the version of it?
As for the race, just the space marines. No honor guard yet, as it's just the start.
Can you check your log files to see if there are any specific warnings causing the crash?
They can be found at \Dawn of War Soulstorm\Logfiles\(Folder with date time*)\
*Should be named along the lines of "2020-03-25.23-13-02"
The best place to look would be in the Warnings.txt at the very bottom to see what if any specific errors are occuring.
Strange... for some reason, i don't have any log files in that folder... I'll try to play a single campaign mode, when it crashes, hopefully a log file will be saved then..

Yeah... running the game in developer mode helped. I encountered no crashes... so far. :)
Got my first crash in the Kaurava campaign... I checked the log files... in warnings.txt... last lines were regarding tau bumpertank... false bad ability name: all_run...
Those are pretty common errors to see... and by common and I mean will always exist. Unless you are experiencing crashes in a specific situation I probably couldn't give you much advice since I do not use the same game version as you and have so far experienced no problems running the campaign on 1.88.72 with multiple races.
Oh ok. So, the latest version probably still has some kinks compared to the version you're using. ^^
Turrets and Wall changes are a HUGE Mistake, and there is absolutely no need to make this change. They have been working fine since the inception of the Mod in their previous configuration. I have been playing this mod since the beginning and this will be the first release I will skip installing.

The IG are supposed to be strong in defence. They grind down their enemies over a period of time. These changes are stupid.
Tyranid spore clusters are so much fun

1. The game still crashes to the desktop in the middle of the battle
2. Orcs still do not develop beyond the first tier
3. The Imperial Guard and Eldar start units still have a the characteristics of the space marine terminators.
