Blood & Iron is a blood, gore and weapon overhaul with the goal of introducing Quake II features while staying in the spirit of Quake and being compatible with nearly all sourceports.
- Blood impacts and trails from enemies when they're shot from where they're shot
- Bodies can still be shot and gibbed after death
- Pain skins that reflect how damaged enemies and players are
- New weapon models with draw, holster and idle animations
- Axe now has impact sounds, view kick and can gib downed zombies after a random amount of hits
- Player footstep sounds
- Q2 remaster hitmarker sound
- Compatible with nearly any version of quake (winquake, Quake remaster, quakespasm, Darkplaces, ironwail, etc)
Over the last few weeks I've been hard at work with version 2.0 of Blood + Iron
New features include the following
* Blood leaves splatters on the world
* Gib and blood now remains in the world until passed a certain amount instead of despawning after a certain timeframe
* Additional gib sounds
* Bodies twitch when shot
* Running animations for weapons
* Axe Given slight buff in deathmatch
* Bunny hop by holding space like in Quake Live and Champions
* Crouching
Additionally I've been working on a demake of "The Camping Grounds" from Quake III to include along with bot pathing.

To install navigate to your Quake directory and drop the folder in there
Sounds great, please keep it compatible with the remaster. As cool as Darkplaces and Ironwail are, that remaster's splitscreen ability is awesome.
One question: Why do we need crouching, what does it add to the game?
My feeling is that this might break some levels without having any real benefit to the Quake experience.

Could you please make the weapon switching faster like in Quake 3, the "fire cancel" is extremely janky, for some reason it really bothers me, other than that, it's a really good mod.
Is this mod compatible with Quake Combat+?

how do i ******* run this mod readme just says to put folder in the quake directory and thats all
