Expands on Dialogue Expanded, adding hundreds of new dialogue lines, companion chatter, and news fluff for immersion and variety.
Some lines are meant to be serious, some are funny, a few are sad.
Includes Dialogue Expanded v4, Companion Dialogues, and my LTTZ - Dialogue Expanded patch.
Now fully standalone. You don't need the original Dialogue Expanded mod anymore, but please go give it a good rating. It took a lot more work than my expansion did. Dialogue Expanded v4
Compatible with saves.
English only, but feel free to make and upload translations. If you use Russian text, you'll probably get missing dialogue strings.
Should be compatible with almost everything. Includes patches for Warfare Overhaul, New Levels, and DLTX LTTZ.
This is likely not compatible with similar dialogue expansion mods (like Ultimate Dialogue Expansion). You can use both mods, but one or the other will have priority over conflicting files.
Includes my Dialogue Expansion - LTTZ Patch as an optional file.
Current Features
- Dozens of new Hello/Greeting dialogues, some faction-specific. Mainly intended for use alongside something like the "Talk to all Stalkers" mod so you'll have plenty of variety.
- New companion, trader, mechanic, and medic dialogue.
- Multiple new Help and Execution dialogues for wounded stalkers, some faction-specific.
- Dozens of new fluff (spam) lines for news, including anonymous messages, gossip, faction news, weather/time of day comments, and quests (currently Living Legend/Mortal Sin).
- A few lines adjusted for soft compatibility with mods that change the game's start date without interfering with the default 2018 narrative (i.e. references to Strelok are "a while back" instead of "several years ago").
- Adjusted some major character dialogue, including an expanded introduction from Sidorovich and overhauled briefings from Kuznetsov (your final mission as Military is no longer "go to the Wish Granter and wish yourself out of the Zone"). Also added some detail to the Military encyclopedia entry.
Newest Update
- Merged the Companion Dialogues mod into this with MaxSpringer's approval. Thanks! This adds hundreds of new companion dialogues, jokes, and tips. I'll be fixing up any typos and expanding on it in the future.
- Dozens of new death reports, news spam, and faction banters.
This is very nice, makes the world feel more alive and not so dull with the same 3 greetings. Small things like these are making such a huge difference. Thank you for making and sharing this!
Thanks for using it!
10/10, excelent work. ^^

Conflict with improved travel guides easy fix just append this between lines 70 and 93 in gamedata\configs\text\eng\st_dialog_manager.xml if you have it installed

Fantastic mod btw ty
Gonna give you the same tip as the other author here: You do not have to append your additions to that one st_dynamic_news.xml. You can just put your additions into a new file, e.g. st_dynamic_news_exxpanded.xml ;)
Thanks! I'm wondering if that actually adds the news options or replaces what's there. For example, if I make a new xml and number the news options from 0 - 10, will those 0 - 10 replace the same 0 - 10 from the "regular" st_dynamic_news file, or will they just be added to it without replacing anything?
I hope that makes sense.
It would replace them unfortunately. They are basically added to the same pool of strings... Any of those string names you use like "st_dyn_news_something_or_another_1" will be stored as they are. so if another file comes around containing the same string name it will get overwritten. Or rather: it will get overwritten if the other xml file name comes later than yours: Much as the script files are loaded in alphabetical order, the xmls are applied the same way if that makes sense. Just something else to watch out for. Anyhow, in general I think its good practice to choose a name that will be loaded after the xml file you want to add or change strings from.
Great work, can't wait for Dialogue Expanded Expanded Expanded
If we use ULTIMATE DIALOGUE EXPANSION Moddb.com, after your mod do we still need your LTTZ patch? since that one says it comes with one.
Nope, I think that one includes my LTTZ patch.
Very cool! The old dialogue expanded needed a patch for wuut's anomaly magazine's, is this compatible with Anomaly Magazines?
Not sure, I don't use it. I can look into it though.
SOMEONE MAKE A TRANSLATION INTO RUSSIAN!
this include redpill dialogues or does it conflict?
Probably conflicts. I didn't add that one.
Nice work
