Introduction

Yo! Time for another devlog!

This week, we want to tell you more about the Forest that will represent the environment of the game.

Alright, let's go!

Forest - Lore

Don't be foolish to think this is any ordinary forest. Located in the North of Portugal, this is the Witch's Forest—a place where countless witches across the ages fled in search of peace. Here, many lived and died, seeking safety but finding peril. This maze-like forest, full of mysteries, captures the gaze of everyone who walks through it.

Here's some references of northen forests in portugal our artist is using.

Forest in-game - What it represents

The witch's forest environment is crucial for setting the tone of the game, depicting a place of danger and mystery where players must navigate and use their wits to survive. It's depicted as dark and foreboding, echoing the perilous times of the witch hunts, yet also holds moments of beauty and tranquility reflecting the witch's connection to nature and her struggle for peace.

Witch’s Forest aims to provide a memorable visual experience and a compelling narrative that captivates players. The choice of the Witch’s Forest as the primary setting for the game was likely influenced by its historical significance, symbolic atmosphere, naturalistic themes, gameplay mechanics, and visual appeal. Its dense foliage, shifting shadows, and varied terrain offer opportunities for stealth, exploration, and strategy, while its visual beauty and atmospheric scenes draw players deeper into the world of the game.

Overall, the Witch’s Forest serves as the perfect setting for a gripping tale of survival, magic, and adventure.
