Short freezing when switching to pip-boy items menu Thread - Vanilla UI Plus mod for Fallout: New Vegas

Hi, I'm experiencing a half second freeze/delay when opening the pip-boy when it's in the "items" tab or when switching to the items tab from the "data"/"status" tabs. This issue is not present when switching to or opening the pip-boy in the data or status tabs. Disabling this mod gets rid of the freezing. I am using the version of this mod that adds the original pip-boy font. Any fixes I can do on my side/is this a common issue?

Try the heap replacer by Iranrmrf.

Installing heap replacer seems to have shortened the freezing by a few milliseconds, but it's definitely still present (negligible difference if any at all). Data/status tabs are instant, while item tab has very brief freeze.

There's also an option in Stewie's Tweaks that improves UI performance. Please explore it yourself.

I'm aware of this issue but I can't do anything about it. My settings based on NVSR & Windows 7 would crash your game.
