Tron is the present-day video game sequel to the 1982 cult film classic that wasa landmark of computerized graphical ingenuity. TRON 2.0 by Monolith Productions - multiplayer demo
The TRON 2.0 multiplayer demo contains a Light Cycle tutorial and a
single-player Light Cycle map called Conscript's Revenge where you duel with
four A.I. opponents, while multiplayer is available in Light Cycle mode (max. 8
players) on Conscript's Revenge as well as Disc Arena and Disc Arena Tournament
modes (max. 16 players) on the Corrupted Sector map.

Installing the program
Exit all other programs and applications when installing TRON 2.0 MP Demo. Also
exit any active screen savers, utility programs, anti-virus programs, energy
saver applications or shell programs to ensure that these programs will not
interfere with installation. When all other programs have been closed, insert
the CD in the CD-ROM drive.
Insert Disk 1 into your CD-ROM drive. If your CD-ROM drive is
AutoPlay-compliant, a launcher screen will automatically appear when the CD-ROM
is inserted in the CD-ROM drive.
If the launcher screen does not appear, proceed as follows:
1. From the Windows Taskbar, click on Start and select Run.
2. In the Open: text box, type in the following command:
D:\setup\setup.exe (where D: is the letter of your CD-ROM drive) and click on
the OK button.
Once the launcher appears, you will be presented with the following options:
Install
This option will launch the InstallShield setup utility.
* You will also be prompted to install DirectX 9. If you are unsure as to
which version of DirectX is installed on your system, it is suggested that you
continue with the DirectX 9 installation. If you select Yes, then the DirectX
installer will appear after the game's installer has finished. Once you have
made your selection, the installer will begin copying files. Simply follow the
on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Display
This option only becomes available once installation is complete and will allow
you to choose from a list of available display resolutions prior to running the
game. Note that this will also occur automatically the first time the game is
launched.
Options
This section contains options that can be used to turn various game features on
and off and is only made available after installation is completed. These
options should only be used if you encounter problems when running the game and
should not be changed if everything is functioning normally. For more
information, please refer to the readme.txt file in your main installation
folder.
Uninstall
This option becomes available only after the game has been installed. It
allows you to easily remove the game files from your hard drive. Please note
that other programs may share certain installation files, so you may be
prompted for confirmation before some of these files are removed. Also, your
saved game folders will remain in case you want to reinstall at a later date.
TRON20.NET
This option launches your Internet browser and takes you to the TRON 2.0
website.
eMANUAL
This options opens the electronic version of the manual.
Quit
Closes the Launcher application.
Play
Once installation is complete, the Install option will no longer appear, and
the Play option will appear instead. Click on this to launch TRON 2.0 MP Demo.
The first time you launch, you will be prompted to choose a performance setting
that fits your particular system configuration. Read the descriptions of each
setting and choose the one that is the closest match for your hardware. Please
note that choosing a setting higher than your system can support will likely
result in unsatisfactory performance.

Getting Started
If your CD-ROM drive is AutoPlay-compliant, a prompt will automatically appear
when the CD is inserted in the CD-ROM drive. Click on Play to start the game.
If the prompt does not appear, from the Windows Taskbar, click on Start and
point to Programs (Windows 98/Me) or All Programs (Windows XP.) From the
resulting sub-menu, point to Buena Vista Interactive, select the TRON 2.0 MP
Demo folder, and then click on the TRON 2.0 MP Demo program icon.

Uninstalling the program
To uninstall the program, proceed as follows:
1. From the Taskbar, click on Start and point to Programs (Windows 98/Me) or
All Programs (Windows XP.)
2. From the Programs sub-menu, point to Buena Vista Interactive, select the
TRON 2.0 MP Demo folder, and then click on the Uninstall TRON 2.0 MP Demo icon.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation.
