Last month in modding...
September has come and gone and thanks to the Make Something Unreal Contest Phase 4 kicking it to high gear we have had many great releases for UT3 popping out, as well as the new release from The Chinese Room team it was indeed a great month for modding.
Recently ModDB had a chat with Travis Baldree, the president of Runic Games about their upcoming game Torchlight and the possibilities it poses as a modifiable dungeon crawler in the same vane as the epic Diablo franchise. With high expectations and a focus on logic scripts just what can we expect from Torchlight? Read on to find out.
The Killing Floor Grindhouse custom map making competition wave one has been decided by the judges over at Tripwire Interactive. With over 50 entries for the contest, the quality of the maps released in wave one has really be staggering, if you own a copy of Killing Floor make sure you get your hands on the wave one map pack.
The guys behind the highly anticipated Indie game Overgrowth were invited to give a talk over at GDC Austin about their very successful PR strategy, and where nice enough to post it on ModDB for all of you to read and learn from! A great read which should give you all the incentive to help you spread the word about your own projects.
Why Should I Play is a brand new feature on ModDB. Reviewing mods need to be handled differently as they are always changing, always evolving and always growing. To help you decide where to spend your time and your bandwidth WSIP will help you out, by giving a short and easy to digest explanation of what to expect when you install that unknown mod.
