A remaster of Dawn of War Soulstorm aimed to improve the game's visual and audio quality as well as provide a newer gameplay experience.

The 0.68 patch is now available for version 0.62. If you are new to installing the Redux mod, be sure to install 0.62 first followed by this patch afterwards.
The build menu has been redesigned to fit with the rest of the UI and the commander icons have been rearranged and presented neatly with new borders. Other intended features like the arrangement of strategic point progress and buff/debuff icons couldn't make it into this version but will be considered for next version. More balance changes have been added which includes major buffs for Dark Eldar and some army capacity improvements for the Orks. See the changelog for these details. A v0.68.rtf will also showcase the cosmetic changes made to the mod.
Unfortunately as of yesterday, my projects Hard Drive has been acting incredibly slow lately making work for the mod a chore to do. I intended to work on arranging the UI further to accommodate the new hero icon locations and finally rearrange buff debuff icons but since I can't make edits without waiting every 5 seconds, I've decided to get the patch released asap before doing an overhaul on my project files. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
Please backup asap all critical assets to a key drive.
Would hate to lose anything that even took an hour worth of work. :'(
Moving everything to my third drive and gonna defrag the old one asap. Granted the transfer of files is just as slow. x_x
HDDs don't live forever - had one die on me with all my games and personal data on it. BIOS wasn't able to boot from it anymore, so i had to setup a new OS and connected it as an external drive via USB and could save about 90% of my data to the new HDD.
hey Thud do you know how can i make ai build hq base? For example i want the Legion of the damned ai build an additional hq,i tweaked with the ai files put when i put hq base in the build order of the ai the ai stops working ingame,i was told by Greenscorpion that you are the ai expert in dow
You sure the LotD mod can actually build more than 1 HQ? Yer talking about Fuggles' LotD mod where the entire faction has a time bomb applied to it as it loses itself constantly back to the warp? I doubt there was an option to build more than one HQ (main portal) due to such limitations. Still you can check existing AIs like Emperors Children in the its BuildBaseStrategy file in the MultiBuildings section.
I already tinkered with Corsix mod studio and made it possible to build 1 more base,im trying to rebalance the mod, cause Lotd race is severely underpowered with 1 building base,i already tried putting this in the ai building order { 1, 0, 0, 900, 1, "Building", "lotd_space_marine_hq" }, but when i go ingame the ai doesn't seem to work, any ideas?
Not sure LotD is under-powered when the point is the faction mod gives both player and AI only a limited time span due to the portal having a tight window to operate it making it silly to have more than one. :| Anyway, if you added a 2nd or 3rd possible HQ to be buildable you need to force it in either the main BO of the buildbasestrategyinfo ai file or in the MultiBuilding section in the buildbasestrategy ai so long as the AI has enough resources to actually build it. ;)
Yea i know it's silly and not fitting for the race, but i'm playing with codex mod and they never last more than 5 minutes on insane difficulty,i can't last long either with just 1 building base you get wiped the moment you lose your hero and a squad because it takes so long to rebuild your army,i already told you that i put this line in the buildbasestrategyinfo { 1, 0, 0, 900, 1, "Building", "lotd_space_marine_hq" },and the ai doesn't seem to work when i put that line altought it seems to be correct also the lotd race doesn't use resources so may be that's the problem
Well you do realize all our faction mods are "exhaustively" tested (including the LotD AI itself) so it works "as is" for vanilla but then adding an outside "balance mod" like codex that drastically changes the overall balance will basically change the entire game dynamic hence why LotD has. .issues.. ;) As for the 2nd or 3rd HQ you have to ask: are you sure in the HQ rgd code that in the requirements it is set correctly AND the AI actually has enough resources but the main thing is to force build it in the BO you need this: { 1, 0, 0, 900, 2, "Building", "lotd_space_marine_hq" } as the "2" is in the value field for buildings setting quantity.
Yes i put 2 in the requierments section of the hq base of lotd race. And i do realize that very well,i'm actually a codex guy it's my favourite mod and so far i've merged all faction mods from you guys and completely rebalanced them with Corsix mod studio, the only race that doesn't cut is the Lotd race they are very weak, and the only way to make them good is to give em another hq.The only races i couldnt get to work with codex mod are the space wolves, blood angels and dark angels, maybe cause codex mod already has them although they inferior and older versions.I also had alot of problems with Thousand sons and Chaos daemons mod with pink boxes as models but i fixed it after a long struggle.I know that these faction mods have been made with unification mod in mind but i would like to know what causes the incopability with Codex mod?Is it the older version of Free ui and objectives points mod that's causing this?
We're going way off topic here.. go to Forums.revora.net and open a discussion there re: Unification integration as well as there is an existing LotD master forum also you can leverage.
I don't really have time to browse forums, also the line you gave me doesn't work either, the ai just stops working when i insert something in the building order.
And I don't want to clutter up this thread with non-related content. There are enough DoW1 AI resources and examples out there to accomplish what you wish but I still recommend going to Revora anyway because if you have made it this far in terms of modding a game the next logic step is to Level Up elsewhere where you can learn even more. ;)
Allright i made an account on that forum but i can't seem to post on the Lotd forum it asks me for a password and i see you are the admin there
Post in the regular LotD forum.. the other two are for staff and beta testers.
Great!!
Oh Yeah Yeah
Hi Eranthis, amazing mod mate, any chance we can see a change in the squad formations? the standard "square" would do well to receive a more jagged or line formation that is more in-tune with what you might see on the table top.
No idea how to go about changing that nor am I really concerned with it.
